Lovecraft knew his stuff. Hands down my favorite all-time writer. IMO he makes Stephen King's material 'scariness-wise' look like a joke. Honestly, nothing is scarier at all than what isn't known. Even in horror films, it's not what the monster does that's scary, it's what the monster hasn't done, but is capable of. Why is outer space scary? Or the ocean? Two vastly unknown, unexplored places.

People do not realize how much goes into even a 15 second montage, let alone a 6 minute one.

and I agree, it is not about which "films' you chose, but the creatures. It is about fear.

Show this to one who has never seen any of these movies, and they will be in touch with what scares them.

Don't mind people who relate it to the script of these movies. Thye just can't see the big picture of the idea.

50% of the movies in this video are horrible cheap new knockoffs of what real horror is all about. I saw countless of clips from Van Helsing (are you kidding me?) and the remake of Amityville. If you want to see a real horror movie, check out the original Amityville Horror.
