I think because there is such an overlapping of the two realities that when someone dies with so much compassion and desire not to die, they stay where they are comfortable and with what they know best..their own/old environment..they only see what they want to see.

That's an amazing experience. I imagine that is why ghosts (if you believe in them) are unable to let go. Why do you think that is?
