If any folk of religious persuasion wish to defend their beliefs to me then they can present their evidence for criticism, nothing else will be accepted; not philosophy nor theology nor personal revelation. That shit has got old.

Her in America we are in the middle of a massive misinformation campaign by what apears to be the religious right. It's getting pretty fuckin' scary too, with their guns and gods. The corosion of reason and logic is, I think, is a manifestation of the lack of critical thinking that religion imposes on our society. Frustrating, for me? yes, boring? No. There is alot of hate in my country right now. :(

That sounds a little crazy. I mean, you can make clouds rain by dusting them with silver iodide from a plane but beyond that, how exactly would you go about manipulating the weather? I suppose you could use satellites with powerful enough microwave emitters to warm up secions of the earth and thus gain some small measure of control over wind-patterns, but those don't currently exist and I'm not sure they would work even if they did. Maybe there's something to it, but I have doubts.

Climate change... well I think the general concensus ATM is that it probably is a result of human influence on the environment and clearly something should be done about it. Ufortunately the moneyed interests have too great a stake in all the things that are causing climate change for anything substantial to actually happen. Money doesn't make the world go round, but it may make it grind to a halt one day.
