@neogaiden well, this generation of people do not cherish turn based. Chrono Trigger still remains one of my favourite turn based story driven games, released on the SNes, and a few years back on the DS. And I wouldn't call this a turn based game since you still have freedom of movement to position yourself in better attack location. I do agree that the still being damaged from an attack when you've run away sux a little, but .HACK did this same thing too.

It's turnbased in the same way Knights of the Old Republic was turnbased.

Hmmm. It's somewhere in between really. It's not quite turn based but time based. You have to wait a few seconds between attacks. Kind of similar to the battle system in an MMORPG.

Nice, FF12-esque battling, but it seems to be a bit more polished, and you seem to have a bit more control over your character. It looks good if you ask me, definitely gonna be checking more of this game out.

Seeing as transforming into the White Knight is a major plot detail I really hope it isn't a Boss battle only change as that would suck...wouldn't stop me from buying this awesome looking game (LOVE J-RPG's-they keep the PS2 afloat even now).

The sad thing is that this game will probably get bad ratings by the major game reviewers. Western culture doesn't understand how to play japanese RPGs. The main part of a RPG is story (has to be lots of betrayal usually and awesome overall story). Combat is secondary and thats what ign and gamespot don't understand.
