It won't work from your vehicle gasoline tank to a gas can. The tubing diameter is too big to get down into your vehicle's gas tank. You will need the cheap $2.00 plastic siphon with a squeeze bulb to do that.

I had a bunch of comments on using the hose in reverse. From the tank to the can.
Most every car and truck made in the last 20 years has an X somewhere in the fill pipe to prevent using this type of hose to take gas out of a tank.
For me it just an easy way to add gas when a pump is not an option.
