Yak4fish reports 3.8mph as the most efficient pedal speed and a top speed of 5.6mph with more effort. I agree that around 4mph is an easy average speed to maintain for a distance. Hope this helps. TimJ

Are the pedals standard for a bicycle? Could one use clipless pedals to be able to power on both the push and the pull?
