Obviously there are countless positions that require urine testing, in which case a potential hire would lose a chance at a position with a positive drug test result. There is no way to remove euphoria, and there is no point to, since it makes us feel better. Other strains with low amounts of THC and high amounts of cannabinoids provide a less euphoric & more medicinal (excl. pain) solution. This mix can only be achieved from the plant, not synthetically, which is illegal.

This medication works wonders for chemo patients.

The best way is vaporizing, which offers a low enough dose to where users can titrate to get just as much as they need, and is healthier, more efficient and less harsh than smoking. The most obvious advantage the vaporized herb over pills is that it would offer more immediate relief. Pills take time to dissolve and permeate the intestinal walls, vapor goes straight from the lungs to the bloodstream.
The pills have very shitty effects, NOTHING will ever beat the plant in its true form. THC in a test tube is not the same as the crude mixture of THC.

From another angle, I would venture to guess that if you did fmri brain scans on those who took the pill versus those who smoked (or vaporized) the actual herb, you'd see drastically different physiological correlates. Perhaps the subjective "high" is actually a part of marijuana's medicinal powers... after all, subjectivity -what we think, feel, believe etc- does affect the our physiological and biochemistry.
The action of THC itself and in combination with other cannabinoids is what is good for you, kills cancer, prevents nausea, increases appetite, etc. THC itself also causes the euphoria, elation, etc. You can't have one without the other, which is why marinol is a failed product and pretty much no one wants it, they only prescribe it because it is what is federally allowed. I'm a medical marijuana patient (severe neurological pain/paralysis). It is the ONLY thing that lets me sleep, the only thing that controls my muscle spasms, and all 3 of my nationally renown specialists encourage its use as there's research that shows that it is neuroprotective. Medical pot strains can be tweaked for certain conditions. When there is a high level of pain, there tends to be less euphoria (just like a severe pain patient has less of a chance of getting high from opiates).

If people just remembered why drugs were banned in the first place they would be able to think about this clearly. Why is the reason we ban drugs? Because it leads to crime, since it is high priced you have to come up with the money somehow and this contributes to stealing etc, since it is addicting plus high priced and may be responsible for crime/car accidents or w/e, we don't allow it. Now since pot isn't physically addictive and would be lower in price, it shouldnt be a problem.

They convinced the public to make cocaine illegal because they convinced them that it made black people rape white women. I don't know of many hiring situations where a person would be asked to state whether or not a potential hire "uses pot regularly". Obviously there are countless positions that require urine testing, in which case a potential hire would lose a chance at a position with a positive drug test result. As for positions that do not require a drug test, I don't think it would come up in the interview...

It's safe to say this is the "middle ground" between liberals and conservatives, yet that STILL isn't good enough for the liberals. There is no way to remove euphoria, and there is no point to, since it makes us feel better. Other strains with low amounts of THC and high amounts of cannabinoids provide a less euphoric & more medicinal (excl. pain) solution. This mix can only be achieved from the plant, not synthetically, which is illegal.

The best way is vaporizing, which offers a low enough dose to where users can titrate to get just as much as they need, and is healthier, more efficient and less harsh than smoking. The most obvious advantage the vaporized herb over pills is that it would offer more immediate relief. Pills take time to dissolve and permeate the intestinal walls, vapor goes straight from the lungs to the bloodstream.

THis is sad but true of our medical model. If something feels good, then it can't be medicinal. Look at Massage Therapy; it has a higher efficacy rate than most pharmaceuticals, but since it "feels good", it can't be legit. Plus all the side effects of MT are good, so the docs don't want that.

Marijuana smoke is not nearly as harmful as tabbacco smoke however it has to be done in moderation because it does paralyze cilia. This can all together be avoided by vapourizing the weed.

What is a "high" to a normal person might be "normal" to someone else. How? Well, you seem to have little or no serious internal problems. Nothing mental, nothing chemical. You probably can't even begin to fathom what real depression or similar situations feel like. People who DO have these problems are in a constant state of "low", so a "high" for them is not an excessively silly or happy state, but a refreshing return to normal.

It's an interesting point.
From another angle, I would venture to guess that if you did fmri brain scans on those who took the pill versus those who smoked (or vaporized) the actual herb, you'd see drastically different physiological correlates. Perhaps the subjective "high" is actually a part of marijuana's medicinal powers... after all, subjectivity -what we think, feel, believe etc- does affect the our physiological and biochemistry.

The action of THC itself and in combination with other cannabinoids is what is good for you, kills cancer, prevents nausea, increases appetite, etc. THC itself also causes the euphoria, elation, etc. You can't have one without the other, which is why marinol is a failed product and pretty much no one wants it, they only prescribe it because it is what is federally allowed. The makers will be out of business with legal pot!

I'm a medical marijuana patient (severe neurological pain/paralysis). It is the ONLY thing that lets me sleep, the only thing that controls my muscle spasms, and all 3 of my nationally renown specialists encourage its use as there's research that shows that it is neuroprotective. Medical pot strains can be tweaked for certain conditions. When there is a high level of pain, there tends to be less euphoria (just like a severe pain patient has less of a chance of getting high from opiates).

If people just remembered why drugs were banned in the first place they would be able to think about this clearly. Why is the reason we ban drugs? Because it leads to crime, since it is high priced you have to come up with the money somehow and this contributes to stealing etc, since it is addicting plus high priced and may be responsible for crime/car accidents or w/e, we don't allow it. Now since pot isn't physically addictive and would be lower in price, it shouldnt be a problem.

Even though I realise how funny it must sound to some people that you must take the fun out of everything... as a biology student, I sorta get it.
Now hear me out. Studies have been made on the causes of substance addiction and abuse, and there is evidence that one cause can be the triggering of dopamine reward pathways in the nervous system, which creates a sense of euphoria or pleasure. This basically means: if you take a pill, which makes you feel good... wouldn't you want to take it again?
