RP: a Gold Standard in Leadership. Peace, Prosperity and Liberty as opposed Death, War, Greed, Poverty and Total Collapse. If Ron Paul is not the president by 2012... America will be destroyed. We are on a fight for our lives now.
Real politicians are called to office by their fellow citizens -- they do not choose and plan to run. They are not motivated by greed; rather by integrity. Dr. Paul is just such a politician. He is my president.
Dr. Paul had to be coaxed into running for President. He's not on a power trip like the rest of them. He did what he set out to do, wake up the American people, to the evil of big government and the Federal Reserve. Thank you Ron Paul. The Revolution is going forth in tea parties and town halls across America.
Don't believe all the Democrats want this crap. It is way bigger that just Republican votes. Ron Paul is someone this Country needs to bring personal liberty back - before we lose it ALL.
Govt. managed HC plan in Britain led expansion of their system such that it is now the 3rd largset employer (after Chinese army and Indian Railways). Any talk about change to remove inefficiencies leads to talks about loss of livelihood/jobs. I DONT want to link quality of HC with loss of livehood. U cannot provide the best since that may involve laying off inefficient departments. A double whammy! Thats downright immoral.
The number of innovations and breakthroughs that has come from market controlled health-care far outweighs than that has come state-controlled ones. The govt. controlled health-care programs always end up squeezing the private programs by having them deficit-financed/subsidized in the first few years and thus kill all competition. The best example is that of the govt.-managed British health-care system.
Obama clearly mentioned that he either will introduce new taxes or get the money from other avenues for any universal plan. Americans pay enough in taxes, how an added tax can help?
The govt. managed programs like Medicare, etc have proven to be financially not sustainable. Given this and the track-record of govt. performance of managing health-care for the last 40+ years, how can the govt. role be promoted to handle health-care for all Americans?
You're right, he's pushing for this health care plan before April 2010 when the reality of 20% less Tax Revenues hits the Federal Government and it won't be just next year, we will see a huge drop in revenues in 2011 and 2012, then they will be dealing with the fact that they take in less money for Social Security than they pay out. Even if Obamacare passes, they have no way to pay for it, it's pointless and beyond ridiculous.
I guess Obama officially thinks that he is the "emperor"? He can't guarantee anything, and none of his CZARS get a vote in congress.
Perhaps he thinks that he controls congress, and nobody has any accountability to the people, or the constitution? Health care is a state issue, and if the federal government wasn't robbing us blind, we could fund our own systems.
Obama is a fraud, an egomaniac, and a liar. Impeachment NOW!
Dr Paul claims he is a Christian, although he rarely speaks of religious things. I do not know why it matters what Ron Paul's religious beliefs are except that he closely follows the founders of our nation.
"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are CREATED equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights..."
So does our Declaration of Independence embarrass you? Do YOUR rights come from a monkey?
I'm an Atheist and I support Ron Paul. Why? Because unlike other politicians, he doesn't try to cram his religious beliefs down my throat. Dr. Paul has always respected other's beliefs because he believes in liberty. REAL liberty, not the fake one that's going on today. Patriot Act anyone? Instead of making ignorant comments, do some research on Dr. Paul instead, and take a look at his voting record because nobody comes even close to him when it comes to consistency.
We could have had RON PAUL in office RIGHT NOW.... the right CAPT to steer the good ship thru treacherous waters, right now we have the Progressives (short-sighted ideologs, who's actions end up costing lives and wealth).
Right on, but I'd add one thing. Partisan, and uninformed though much of it may be, the bitter resistance to Obama's Health care is at least SOME form of resistance to expanding government intrusion. If we can educate these Hannity/limbaugh crowd enough to recognize and resist big government from their own party, we'll be in better shape and would avoided the mess we're in now.
People with the character of Ron Paul made America great - the bad news is he's a dieing breed. That the lamestream media gives him a bit of airtime can be chalked up not only to the fact that he has a large following, but it's also because the media has a sinking feeling that he may be right.
it's a slippery slope you're standing on... to assume that any of these politicians arent a part of the same master plan is naive. Ron gets the air time because he keeps 3/4 of conservatives in the mind set that someone is working for them. well ... i find it hard to believe.

I'll never forget how Cooper flat out lied to Ron Paul during the Republican debates. Cooper was the moderator and after cutting off Ron Paul as he started to speak, he, promised to return to let him answer a question, then never did.
Ron Paul is looking and speaking like a President. I have never seen him like this, and I have watched every single clip of his for more than 2 years. Something, is happening....
Although I believe the government can be efficient with health care. Afterall, they're efficient with Social Security checks, Post Offices, and killing poor Muslims.
My taxes pay for their deaths, why can't my taxes help save American health care?
In fact, for all the past decades that socialism has been tried in one government program after another, the bigger the program to quicker it becomes bankrupt. Look at the Russian experiment. And China has backed away from its Maoist hard line. Canada's big system is severely stressed with terrible waiting times, sometimes literally years to see a specialist. You are being duped by the US media propagandists for the Establishment.
Medicare, medicaid both bankrupt. More gov., more debt.
Right on, and I might add that soon we will see massive inflation. Most people don't realize there are consequences to too excessive borrowing and to printing money out of thin air.
Foreigners have had it with our deficit spending and have stopped purchasing our bonds. Our deficits will have to be printed out of thin air which will bring on some of the worst inflation this country has ever seen.
