I agree with you: Mariah's cover of this song is not good. And and I'm a Mariah fan, but I call as I see 'em. Her voice was just "too dry" or "too whispy" (for lack of a better description). Phil's voice has tremendous impact into the real emotion of the song; he brings the lyrics to life.

I'd be curious to hear Justin sing it. IMO, Phil would be a difficult one to replace for this. But, I'd still be curious to hear it. That's also, because I think Justin is very talented.
