  • Boy you were right when you said "This is a side of Iraq that most of you will never see!" Thanks for posting it.

  • @pbar1000 I know right? Everyone and the media just shows all the violent stuff. Makes it seem completely crazy.

  • wow the base actually looks nice

  • camp victory is the shit

  • Comment removed

  • Is the National Guard like the Territorial Army in the U.K?

  • That Fire Rescue looked like the one at my Fire Dept. haha What are you doing with my Stations rescue. Give that back, we just spent good money on that. :]

  • LOL

  • 7:31

  • thats a nice base im in th ny national guard i go to basic in oct

  • I would feel somewhat unsafe swimming and walking around in the open near the pool. Are there troops on the other side of the river to prevent snipers from getting setup?

  • That area we were in is all protected by walls it's a big base complex and there is no way a sniper could set up on us.

  • It's gotta be tough serving with your brother, especially not knowing where he's at, if he's alright. That'd drive me nuts. Glad you fellas made it home alright.

  • its a nice place, shame its so fucked up right now. good vid to man

  • great

  • good taste music! that's cool, time with your brother. my brother lives in germany so i know what it's like when you don't get to see them.

  • looks like a fun vacation in this video

  • Nice...

  • I belive that chance with your brother was good for you and make you feel safe. I hope you both do well! :)

  • o.o Plush is playing in the background in the SUV... lol XD Nice taste in music. Stay safe in Iraq and God Bless you. :) I'll be praying for you and your friends. Stay safe.

  • Glad to see you guys have a fun social life anditisnt fox holes helmets and guns all the time.

May My Lord be with you all.

Each time I visit a military video My Freedom, Flag and COuntry mean so much more.

We have so much it is almost shameful, here in America and giving back is so important.

Although much of your work is humanitarian, not like war use to be. There was a definite enemy and I still struggle with how you know civilian from enemy. Love the children "teach them well"Blessings

  • Justin and Daniel, 2 soldiers in a pod known as Baghdad--Guns blazing as they ride in their SUV listening to Coldplay hehe//God bless you guys for the service you give to our country everyday and rock on from your buddy keeping the home fires and rock-n-roll cooking Mikey! 10*Stars and it's going up on my channel too!

  • Thankyou Warlord, =) I appreciate your kind words.

  • Hey Justin,

I loved the rawness of your footage and the soundtrack (a little STP, bit of Coldplay LOL) speaks to all of us who'd want to remain as normal as humanly possible during tough wartimes so tyvm my friend and both of you get home safely from Mikey in Arizona! ;)

  • This video was sp good, I can take Iraq off my list of vacation spots. I guess maybe I'll take Iran & Afghanistan off too, eh? I want a Bhurka for my burthday. Do they come in red?I kinda like to stand out in a crowd, but I guess they'd know I wasn't from there & that wouldn't be a good thing.Take care of yourselves there...stay safe. My prayers on air to youse guys.Anybody from Jersey with ya?

  • THANKS for your efforts.

  • I'm glad you get to be with family, it looks like you guys are getting along well x]

    Thank you,

    this means a lot.

  • Aww this makes me miss Daniel :( I'm glad you guys had fun!

  • Ha! That sparta, thing is funny. Is he older brother?

  • Younger.

  • this is awesome man i hope your having fun

how are those polish soldiers that youre with?

  • They're cool, alot of them walk around in nothing but spandex shorts and flip-flops while their on the base. LOL =) We wouldn't ever be allowed to do that. =P

  • yeah that sounds pretty much like us disco loving polaks xD

  • LOL They're nice guys though, I've never had any problems with them. =)

  • That place is beautiful. Cool vid bro.

And finally the source of that Sparta thing

  • i like the this is sparta guy. thats funny.

  • SPARRRRTAAAAAA

  • thanks for posting the vidsand keeping everyone informed!! hope u have a safe time over there!

  • Hanging out at the country club in Baghdad! ;) Glad you 2 hooked up and had some fun!

  • You are right. Not many of us get to see this side of IRAQ. I hope you guys stay safe and I look forward to checking out the rest of your videos.

  • Take care...........Say Hi to the Aussies that are there too.

    cheers

  • The aussies left =( I wish they were still on our base. They were awesome!

  • haha u guys r cute :) good luck ;)

  • Thankyou. : )

  • You sure you ain't a PA Puke? You missed your calling, dude.

    See you soon.

  • Public Affairs? I wish. If thats what you mean.

  • Yeah, that's what I mean. That's what I was in the USAF. Would have been more fun in the Navy - they did everything there - print, radio and TV. All I did was print.

  • Last time I checked I think you might have to be an officer to be PA in the Army. Not sure though.

  • Possible .. but when I was at DINFOS, which was at Ft. Ben Harris in Indiana at the time, we were all enlisted. The officers generally did the speaking, while the enlisted did the grunt work .. the fun work - writing articles, taking pictures, giving tours, stuff like that. In my office there were only 2 officers and two enlisted when I got there. When I left, there was one officer and one enlisted - making me the NCOIC of no one - LMAO

  • LOL, sounds like you had a good time though. =D

  • Honestly though if i was PA i feel like i wouldn't get all the cool footage i can get now as a gunner.

  • Absolutely not .. you'd be manning a desk, your sword would be a pen, and your WMD would be a 35mm Canon ... not even digital.

Yeah, I did have lots of fun. But if I knew then what I know now, I would have had a bigger blast!

  • I never thought Baghdad was so full of history... or that it would have survived through all the wars and regimes its been through in the past.

Amazing footage. I just hope you dudes don't get into any trouble for making this gem.

  • Outstanding 5 Stars*****

  • This is a side to Iraq you don't expect to see. Thanks so much for the share. We're so proud of all of you for serving. God bless...

  • well bro good luck stay safe

  • Thanks for putting your life out there for our country and for giving us a tour of the base.

I know the general feeling must be excitment followed by boredom ,with spikes of fear , hopefully you will be stationed at France or Germany next to make up for the stallness of Baghdad xD .

Come home safe, good job for everything you guys have done out there.

  • got some nice areas in Baghdad actually! Nice to see you guys having some fun out there. and this is Sparta, lol

  • I was there in 05. We had what seemed like desert storm era HMMWVs with the bolt on up armored kits. The Slayer tunnel, btw, is right next to the point where SFC Smith earned his Medal Of Honor. I used to drive thru there from Victory to Slayer to get Hajji DVDs and take my dog to the vet. We lived in some shitty tents near the Victory Mayor cell across from the gym. We had a kick ass chow hall but happiness was BIAP getting smaller out of the window of a C-130.

  • Yeah the HMMWV's have been highly modified and we are just now getting more MRAPS over here but I have yet to go out in one of those yet. Mainly 1114's 1151's and ASV's. I wish I was stationed in BIAP with my brother. I'm down in Camp Adder.

  • Looks like you're making the best of a tough time. God Bless you men for serving. My son was there in 2002-03... Baghdad. Come home safely!

  • Go, Navy!

  • Go Navy indeed, we have Navy on the post I'm at. Not really sure what they do, i think they work at the airfield or something. But i do see them around!

  • take care out there!!! say hello to all there and wishing they fight this war to it's end and be back home safely!!!!

  • Just a couple bros hanging out. Not your normal day at the beach, that's for sure. LOL Still looks dangerous there in areas. That is so neat you were able to film some for us. Some of those buildings look beautiful, I can only imagine what they are like in the inside. Thanks for sharing, I will send it on to others. And say hey to your bro Daniel. Be safe.

  • Thankyou for checking it out Lady, and I appreciate you sharing it with your friends! =)

  • nakedbullwinkle sent me.... Great Video, Most of us don't get to see this side... bty I liked the tunes you were listening to..

  • well said, palm trees,,,security violation..lol....ahhhhhhh

  • what, no metallica...acdc...the stereo type is all combat soldiers listen to that...you guys break the mold..kudos to you...you could have had fun and maybe had the mister rogers piano them on the radio..you know, it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood....would be fun.

  • LOL, the base radio stations are limited in their selections, so you kind of just have like 2 choices i think.

  • Fun game at the start :-)

  • stop video taping... what, are you camera shy? :)

  • Thank You, I enjoyed watching this video. Stay Safe.

  • Wow you guys showed great restraint in that tunnel..i would have had to honk the horn or blast the radio..Heh but i'm dorky like that!

Thanks for taking us along Justin! Catch ya next time!~scrunch~

  • 7:35 this is sparta..lol

  • Thank you for sharing this. It is humbling to get a peek into a different side of this life of yours.

I hadn't any idea there were so many US made SUV's? :)

  • Nice to see you guys having a few minutes of fun.

    Thanks for the new video.

Leaves are starting to turn here, got our first frost this morning.

  • we are getting 12 inches of snow tomorrow! Where the fuck did fall go?

  • IS that Big Mac Girl missing the ball each time in the beginning? Glad you got to hang with yer bro.

Nice view of the countryside and the digs. yer bro is a little camera shy, but I guess thats to be expected.

"best Quote "What are they gonna do? Send me home?"

    Hope yer stayin safe!

    Stech

    MSJ VARIETY

  • Nah, Big Mac girl doesn't get to come on the road with us, she is an Armorer. =) Thanks for checking out my video Stech!

  • Very surreal and you are right: I haven't seen footage like this before. As invaluable as it is to see, your brother is rigt: be care where and when you tape. I'm glad you got to have some good, old-fashioned fun jumping in the pool. Grace and peace. Stay safe.

  • Thankyou BeachSaint! Glad you got to see a side of Iraq that not many people see. No one wants to show the good stuff in Iraq these days.

  • Another great vid Praetorin.

  • Thankyou Airborne.

  • Thanks for the tour, interesting to watch :)

  • I can relate to Daniel's not wanting to be taped, but that video & your others really blessed me, reminds me of what & who I forget, helps w/perspective. God bless you both.

  • He's always like that, a bit camera shy. =)

  • Thanks for the tour ..you guys take care..:+)

  • Thanks Roland!

  • It's really nice that you get to be with family when you're so far from home. Stay Safe!

  • It is nice, It's kind of weird hanging out with my brother in Iraq.

  • what fob was this at?

  • Victory, Striker, and Liberty I believe, they all kind of blend together but most of this video is from Victory.
