Obviously not your fault, but this is the worst ending to a game I have ever experienced. The game was a major let down, but it has its good points. Hopefully AC III will make up for this game...

Could someone please explain to me simply what it is Desmond tried to achieve and what the apple means. Also who are these gods. And i don't get the part where the world ends. A great ending for two great heroes. The continuation of Desmond and the start of a hero in AC3. Hope we feel the same bondage or w/e like we have with Altair and Ezio. Like our brothers

Desmond knows what o do. Okay, this ending confused me. I know Etzio finished his assassin career. But I don't get the ending! It doesn't make sense! Someone please explain it to me? Why are so many people 'mourning' altïars death we all knew he was dead anyway because he was ment to be wound in the 1100s ezio was in the 14-1500 so duh they're both dead (and fictional)
@ThePhantomX24 ACII, AC:B and AC:R are all the second chapter of the main series, just split up in three games because of Ezio's story. ACIII will feature an entire different ancestor
Through out most of that ending I felt like crying.
I mean Assassin's Creed has been going to 5 years now and to see both of those assassins come to an end is just heart touching. When Ezio lent down by Altaïr I had loads of flashbacks come to me of AC1. And when Ezio dropped his weapons and decided to end his assassin life I had flashbacks of how much I loved AC2 and Brotherhood.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze & Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad are more than characters. They're legends.

@JabbaFanzz AC1 was about Altaïr and him trying to regain his honour in the assassins order after being stripped of his rank for betraying the rules of the Brotherhood. At the end he takes one of the Apples of Eden and keeps it. AC2 introduced Ezio who started as a 17 year old Florentine citizen and his father (an assassin) and brothers were later executed. He sought to kill those who participated in the conspiracy against his family. He later discovers that there is much more in it than revenge
@JabbaFanzz At the end of AC2 he speaks to the godess Minerva. One of 'those who came before' who uses Ezio to give a warning to Desmond. In AC Brotherhood Ezio appears as an older citizen at the age of 38. He goes to Rome to finish off the remaining family members of the Borgia family. Roderigo Borgia being the main enemy in AC2. He wants most, with his new and old allies, to kill the ruler of Rome and commander of the Papal Templars, Cesare Borgia. He succedes during Cesare's siege on Vianna.

He sets off to Masyaf, home of Altaïr 300 years ago, to discover more about the Assassins' Creed and his part in it. The "gods" are testing Desmond to send him on a mission to save the world from ending (December 2012). The place you saw at the end when his dad opened the door was a vault; more than likely one of vaults the man was talking about that they made to save the world and desmond has to bring the apple there.

@gokulauri yes, at least one more. Maybe they will continue afterwards with more, but from what I heard next years game will conclude Desmonds story. Im looking forward to it, but I am also pretty upset that this great story is over next year. Personally I think AC games are the most awesome games on the planet.

Ok this is gonna sound weird but this is what I think , Altair is Ezio just Altair's other life and since Ezio has died in past years Desmond is Ezio. Now eith an ending like that one , definetly another ac game, but with Ezio gone....

@ThePhantomX24 ACII, AC:B and AC:R are all the second chapter of the main series, just split up in three games because of Ezio's story. ACIII will feature an entire different ancestor

Through out most of that ending I felt like crying.
I mean Assassin's Creed has been going to 5 years now and to see both of those assassins come to an end is just heart touching. When Ezio lent down by Altaïr I had loads of flashbacks come to me of AC1. And when Ezio dropped his weapons and decided to end his assassin life I had flashbacks of how much I loved AC2 and Brotherhood.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze & Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad are more than characters. They're legends.

@JabbaFanzz AC1 was about Altaïr and him trying to regain his honour in the assassins order after being stripped of his rank for betraying the rules of the Brotherhood. At the end he takes one of the Apples of Eden and keeps it. AC2 introduced Ezio who started as a 17 year old Florentine citizen and his father (an assassin) and brothers were later executed. He sought to kill those who participated in the conspiracy against his family. He later discovers that there is much more in it than revenge

@JabbaFanzz At the end of AC2 he speaks to the godess Minerva. One of 'those who came before' who uses Ezio to give a warning to Desmond. In AC Brotherhood Ezio appears as an older citizen at the age of 38. He goes to Rome to finish off the remaining family members of the Borgia family. Roderigo Borgia being the main enemy in AC2. He wants most, with his new and old allies, to kill the ruler of Rome and commander of the Papal Templars, Cesare Borgia. He succedes during Cesare's siege on Vianna.

@JabbaFanzz Ezio, after all he's been through, is still confused as to the meaning of all that's gone on. What it was all for. He sets off to Masyaf, home of Altaïr 300 years ago, to discover more about the Assassins' Creed and his part in it. Upon entering Altaïr's library after collecting all the keys, he discovers that the true meaning of his life, the reason 'those who came before' made him the way they did, was only for him to speak a message to Desmond which Ezio doesn't even understand.

For anyone confused:
The "gods" are testing Desmond to send him on a mission to save the world from ending (December 2012). The place you saw at the end when his dad opened the door was a vault; more than likely one of vaults the man was talking about that they made to save the world and desmond has to bring the apple there.
