  • The name of that hog is jabalí (sing.) jabalíes (pl.). That animal is not native, they brought from Europe many decades ago.

  • @argentinaperono THANK you so much for that information! I had never heard this before. As a hog hunter, I really enjoyed watching these pigs. They do have a very long snout compared to our hogs in Texas. Regards.

  • nicebuck

  • Look like alot of fun...one day in my future I plan to go to Argentina or New Zealand. Thanks for sharing. Did you get to dove hunt?

  • @kennygtexas No but I saw LOTS and LOTS of dove. In the evenings, the trees were so full of roosting birds.

  • Wow! We hunt out of the Adirondacks in NY. Got a nice 10 pointer this season. I have a video up on my page of it.

  • Its not clear how you killed the snake? I am scared of snakes and always not clear how to kill them. With Foot or Showel or just shot it?

  • @colonist The shovel was all we had other than arrow, and the guide was screaming like a girl so I took care of it. He was terrified of snakes. I cut it's head off and the mouth continued to open and close so I buried it for him. Some people are phobic and this was one of those people.

  • what kind of snake was that it looks like a hognosed viper or mexican jumping viper.

  • wtf was that ? it looks like a hog but with a long ass nose

  • ya, looks like it was crossed with an anteater. cool trip.

  • Cool!!

  • what song is that?

  • Been too long to remember but it's by Los Lonely Boys. A Texas band.

  • onda

  • I seen some awesome footage of wildfowling in Argentina, did u get a chance to do that, there was literal thousans o duck and eese, total unbelievable, im big into wildfowling but never seen anything like whats over there, a really untapped resouce!!

  • I was in the La Pampa area, and there was so, so many dove. The trees were totally covered each evening with roosting birds. South Africa is the same. I spent all my time in Argentina chasing a Red Stag and then a wild boar, but didn't find the boar. Notice the snouts on the pigs? Long!

  • I would like to visit there again someday. I was at this same lodge in 2006. Argentina Safari in La Pampa. I see the guide Negro on your video. He likes to hunt Red Stags, yes?

  • Yep, that was Negro. Mr. Macho is deathly afraid of snakes! I killed that snake in front of him and laughed at his whining about me putting it in the truck. Too Funny!

  • i understand u prolli kill to eat the animal, why did u kill the snake ? am just curious !

  • My guide was scared to death of the snake. So, I killed it so he could learn more about it and hopefully, get over his fear of snakes better. He's a guide. He can't be scared of any animals as much as he was of the poisonous snake. When people can touch something, it helps them understand the animal or insect, and their fear, and why they have such fear. I teach people this way often and it works.

  • It looks like you had a great time. I'm considering a trip like this in the next couple of years.
