rule of rose is one of those mystery wtf games, haunting ground gives you an adreneleine rush and makes you feel like the character, fatal frame 2 has creepy ass ghosts in it so each game is scary but in a different way

@Mini2999 The story is what makes up for the gameplay?

The story basically boiled down to 2 lesbian 6 year old orphans and one of them found a puppy and kept it which causes the relationship to go to total fucking hell and causes the orphanage to adopt a crazy man that runs around naked roleplaying as a dog until he finally snaps and kills the whole orphanage.

And the happy ending is the girl deciding to leave the puppy in a shed to die while she continues her lolicon antics with her bff.

@MutantWren Well, their love was innocent. They were children at the time and I believe they didn't notice the opposite/same sex thing. Not only did I love the game for it's depressing story, but also because the atmosphere was so much like the once golden franchise: Silent Hill.

@Mockingbirdnet The first Alice is more of a horror game. That's just because I think the technology used to make it was limited, not allowing all of its content to be put into it. Alice: Madness Returns is more of a psychological horror game; however, it's not as easy to figure out nor is it as this game (psych-storyline-wise). If you don't know much about the original Alice in Wonderland, you might not catch on to everything you need to. I'd suggest playing this game first for the psych part.

Me too. Games these days are nothing but action. Silent Hill isn't scary anymore nor is Resident Evil. The games went from horror to action.

That's why its really hard to find a proper horror game these days. I don't care if gameplay is crappy or not, I prefer the story, because a good horror storyline always makes up for it.

Gameplay was perfectly fine for a survival horror based game. They aren't for everyone I guess, but the gameplay itself was perfect and fit the theme well. I don't know why people had issues with it...

People complained how Boss II (Mermaid Clara) was SO hard, lol. I got to her and beat her under five minutes without her hitting me... x.x

There was honestly nothing wrong with it lol. Everyone has their own opinion of course. I'm not saying you don't have that, haha. I'm just expressing that it wasn't what a lot are saying. Maybe for some it lacked, but for me the game was fine as is and it was actually very easy to play.

The only issue I had was camera angles. Like when fighting the first boss; Mr. Hoffman. I couldnt get the angle of the camera right to see him LOL. Everything else seemed fine.
