  • great vid, you're really handsome :)

  • INCREDIBLE =D

  • Love iiittt!!!

  • As an interpreter and someone who has interpreted a lot of songs and concerts...I have to say that this lacked a certain depth. It was a fairly decent job of signing the song but I would not call it an interpretation. Remember, to tell it in ASL you must tell the story (I am guilty as the next hearing person of signing a song that is more English than ASL).

  • (rocking the **** out) <3

  • this is AWESOME cuz this is my favorite song from Queen and i can understand all of it^^

  • Thanks for including your gloss! As a hearing person with little opportunity to practice, it's wonderful to pick up new vocabulary and to reinforce what I knew (and see it in new contexts)

  • LOVE it!

  • Thank you so much for doing this song! :)

  • I love love love this video! You are so talented :) Great job!

  • You. Are wonderful.

  • Wonderfully humorous and well done! ^_^ Love it! <3

  • This is THE BEST video on YouTube, period. <3

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • Gahh, you're like my ideal boyfriend. <3

  • I tried watching this without sound and even then it gave me goosebumps. I don't understand the sign language but it's clear that you love what you are doing. Great work!

  • @emmalovesmuffins I have a learning disability and I hate that word more then any word ever spoken. we are perfact in every way.

  • @misscanadarain

    @emmalovesmuffins

EXACTLY!!! Thank you! It's nice to meet some polite people for once!!!!!

  • Greetings from Spain. I'm a Spanish Sign Language student and this is one of my favourite songs.

  • @9gaglollipop retard is not a nice word.

  • @misscanadarain thank you, because some people don't understand.

  • i love the sign language captions option. :))

  • I love the rock out part.

  • This is done amazingly!!!!! great job dude!

  • outstanding!

  • i watched this in my asl class today, everyone raved on how A-W-E-S-O-M-E it was!!!! i love the fact that if you mute the song you can still understand and feel what Stephen is singing!!!!!

  • This song always gets to me..but seeing it expressed in a way that words alone cannot was amazing. :)

  • BEST ASL song ever!!!

    Amazing!

  • good

  • hey i was wondering if I could use this song for a competition in asl honor society since this song is amazing and i dont know of any song i want to do..

  • I'm waatching this video, and its a serious song, but I'm cracking up because he brings it to life. and I'm sitting at my computer doing air guitar. You're so much fun :3

  • quick question: do you conjugate verbs in sign language?

  • @sc1592 I'm only in ASLI 1 so I'm just going to answer based on what I know (but if someone notices I'm wrong, let me know :D )

Anyway, from what I can tell...not really. It depends on what you are talking and how you say it. Like if someone asked "how are they going to contact you?" and you would sign "I gave her my number..." gave and give is the same sign, but in English you wouldn't say "I give her my number" if you're talking about past tense. Hope I helped!

  • @sc1592 only in signing exact english (which is a pain in the butt...)

  • Your my boy this is awesome. lol thank you i need help with finding a song to sign for my class. A+ here i come!

  • I got here because I was listening to the Yogscast

  • This was a great video. My ASL is horrid. But this video really shows so many great things. Face expression, how the signs are formed versus what is being said. I totally have issues with, wanting to sign what I say and how I say it. Thanks, this really reminds me of things that I need to improve on.

  • you're good at putting emotion into what you do =)

  • Doing this song for the talent show with the sign language club/class, love classic rock and your expressions!

  • WIN

  • pretty awesome!

  • I love you for Glossing this song. Thank you so much.

  • Genial, estupendo y una pasada de interpretacion de esta cancion de Queen, sin palabras, un 10.

  • I am currently learning ASL 1 in college and I really appreciated how you added the ASL grammar in the subtitles, thank you! it made it definitely easier to follow along.

  • crazy how seeing it in ASL really makes me understand the song.

  • @321erup123 ha ha I totally agree with that!! Just like in the song, "My eyes have been opened!" Now I understand!

  • "rocking the **** out" is right!

  • i am hearing sign but seeing it this way really put the lyrics in perspective for me...they make more sense with a visual edge. thank you!

  • Awesome :'D

  • I would love to learn sign language but don't think it;s possible..I look up to those who can communicate this way. It touches my heart

  • i dont know if its the song that never gets old or seeing the song that never gets old being done in sign language...either way i cant stop watching it lol

  • 22 people hate queen and the hearing impaired.

  • @latios4 - You're an idiot!

  • @latios4 hard of hearing or deaf. hearing impaired is not really socially acceptable anymore.

  • @irkenequine You are an idiot. My nephew is deaf and I am leaning ASL so I can speak with him. People like you just make this world a more ugly place to live in.

  • @rosemalde Youuuuuuuuuuu clearly did not understand my statement so I won't be offended at what you just said. I said the phrase HEARING IMPAIRED is no longer socially acceptable in the Deaf community. As in, it is OFFENSIVE to many Deaf people. You're welcome for the knowledge. Sincerely, an interpreter.

  • @irkenequine why is hearing impaired offensive? I don't understand people always looking for something innocent to be offended about. If you are deaf, you are hearing impaired at some level. Why do deaf people sometimes get all out of wack when non deaf people love to sign and appreciate the beauty of sign language and want to be able to communicate with the deaf? we may all be deaf at some point in our lives. Everyone should learn sign language.

  • @midgetsmommy Deaf people were considered 'retarded' in our hearing culture until the 60's. THE SIXTIES. That is NOT that long ago...the VERY WRONG perception that Deaf people are 'stupid' in some way is still VERY persistent in culture.. To a Deaf person, to not have hearing isn't a 'deficit'. They aren't missing anything that they haven't GAINED in another way. To say 'hearing impaired' is like calling a black person "white impaired."

  • @irkenequine I don't know sign language, I would love to. Why don't deaf persons teach us then? remind us not to use slang words etc. Deaf persons are hearing impaired, they are deficit in hearing ability. It's not an insult and they should stop acting like it is. When I was young my mother taught me to say black people were colored. She didn't like the word Nigger. Some black people don't like to be called color, I try to respect that. But it's not an insult if I forget and say it.

  • @midgetsmommy I was going to try to help you, but after reading that I realize you are just culturally ignorant and don't understand race relations or interaction with people in society what-so-ever...so I'm going to walk away and say good luck with that. Just understand that if you call someone hearing impaired, you will OFFEND them. Whether you think you are or not is inconsequential.

  • @irkenequine Maybe you should change your attitude and then you won't get offended so often. We can't say queer, colored, and now we cant say something as innocent as hearing impaired. What's next? Do you speak, is it perfect? if you can't do it with perfection should we get offended? This political correctness is crap. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I'm sick of being called Mormon. Not really, but people call us worse than that. Ease up people.

  • Do you have some quota to fill on offending every trivialized group of people, or is it a personal hobby? Good lord. If your Bible teaches you that much disregard for other people's wishes regarding their lifestyle and culture, I'll stick with atheism. So its OK to offend people if you dont see why its offensive. That makes perfect sense. Again, best of luck with that. Spent too many years on higher education to return to brain-melting conversations like this.

  • @irkenequine I don't mean to offend anyone, You were the one telling people they were offending the deaf. I just wish people wouldn't get offended at the drop of a hat. It just seems people are looking for things to be offended about.

  • @irkenequine I would not call them hearing impaired, I never have, it's not part of my vocabulary anyway. I just feel people are too ready to be offended. Wouldn't it be just as easy to not be offended if someone referred to you as hearing impaired? I'm just saying I wish people would get over feeling the victim of some kind of offense. I am also from Kentucky, so I had better learn to let things wash off my back instead of feeling offended all the time.

  • @midgetsmommy I dont think irkenequine was trying to start a fight with you or anything, they just wanted to let you know what the Deaf people prefer. This is just my opinion but i think a lot of non-deaf people feel that the word "deaf" might be offensive and so they use 'hearing impaired' thinking its more polite but its not. Anytime someone says hearing impaired to me, i just casually let them know to call them Deaf. They prefer that..Deaf refers to an identity, a culture and a community. Why

  • @midgetsmommy would you continue to call them hearing impaired when you've politely been informed that they prefer Deaf? it seems ignorant not to change your lexicon esp if you dont really know much about them. I am am member of the LDS church too and Mormon is just a nick name for Latter Day Saint, both labels encompass the same thing... beliefs, values, morals, callings etc. But Deaf and Hearing Impaired have two different connotations... Just something to think about :)

  • @charbabe1986 , I would not call them hearing impaired, I never have, it's not part of my vocabulary anyway.

  • @irkenequine I wish all children could be taught sign language while in the early school years. Then we could communicate with the deaf and vice versa. Also, I've seen too many old people left out of conversations because they can't hear. It could happen to any of us. And the definition of impaired is "Diminished, damaged, or weakened: an impaired sense of smell" so the "white impaired" comment does not apply.

  • And quite frankly, (not to tarnish this great video, which is a beautiful example of sign) Deaf people become intolerant of hearing people in their language because it does include SO many cultural terms, phrases, so much terminology, the community around it is very much closed. Yet, its a hearing persons FAVORITE language to pretend to know. They learn 5 signs and then 'claim' to know how to sign at all without really getting it.

  • Masterful translation!

  • sweet!!

  • This is amazing. XD

  • Holy shit...this guy is fucking hot!

  • @shutitok seriously?

  • @iknowuriders YEP.

  • FREAKIN EPIC DUDE!!!

  • Marry me.

  • I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

  • Thank you. I have friends who are deaf, and now I can show them this! (They're not familiar w/the internet yet, can you believe?)

  • Wow! ASL is beautiful!! =]

  • i just fucking love how he gets all into the song his just awsome at ASL ....love it!!!!

  • you should do this to some Yellowcard songs

  • Woooooooooooowww, incredible!!!

  • Just out of curiosity; do you not use mouth-movements in ASL ?

  • Wow, i didn't understand this song until now. Thanks!

  • Do you think you could make a slow version of this video so I could learn it, I've signed a few songs before but nothing like tihs and I wuold love to be able to.

  • I love you.

  • @CaptainValor are you really deaf?? p.s. very impressive performance wish i knew ASL. :|

    ...thanks...

  • So badass and fun to watch!!!!! You look like you honestly love what you are doing and it's rad. :)

  • Excellent- absolutely amazing!! I am completely blown away by your use of emotion and interpretation. Thank you for adding the CC- it helps so much. Good luck to you!

  • Ok. I literally just stared at this with my mouth open the entire time. Can you say engrossed?

  • AMAZING SONG CHOICE! THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU! WOO ASL!

  • There's a hand signal for 'Galileo'??

    Unexpected, but cool...!

  • Awesome! I have been an interpreter for almost 20 years, I love the way you interpret song. Well Done.

  • I sat here and squealed for almost 6 minutes. I think I've fallen in love with you!

  • That was amazing!!!

  • Well done! Love the sense of various facial expressions and different changes in scenery (background and clothes)!

  • Stephen- You are amazing. Will you tutor me in sign language all over my kitchen floor?

  • this is amazing and I love how you "Feel" The music. Thanks. I get to learn this for ASL class next week. You helped. :)

  • Put aside some errors in signing given that you are obviously still learning, the concept of how you interpreted the song was impeccible. As a deaf person who loves this song to death and have tried to interpret this and failed miserably more than million of times, you have done it. Loved the interlude, by the way :)

  • ha wow. :) especially at 3:00 and beyond.. Ive always tried to sign this song.. crazy hard. :)... I LOVE your interpretation!

  • theres no sound yet he rocks out loud XD

  • WoW! So well done!

  • Sad to see that you will be away from doing this. You are amazing with all the emotion you put into your performances. My brother can now 'feel' the music again. We await future videos....

  • LOVE the rock out musical interludes :) !!!

  • Great video! I found the line "Mother-man-killed" a little ambiguous...could have been interpreted "My mother killed a man"? Also "Happen-happen-nothing" could possibly be interpreted "Nothing happened" instead of "nothing matters"? Over-all, it seemed very ASL and conceptually accurate, but in my neck of the woods initializing "tomorrow" would have been considered very English. Maybe a regional thing? Anyway wonderful job with a difficult song!

  • 3:43 just pause it.

  • @harperinhell, I like 3:46. lol

  • THis is so sick

  • usualy switch to something else and let the music in the background but this made is very interesting. I remember seeing sign language singing live, it's hard not to watch it's pretty cool .XD

  • Is he deaf or hearing? His sign language is impeccable.

  • @MissMisa94 he's hearing

  • Sir, I am a girl in 10th grade. i've always been fascinated by sign language, and i was wondering if you had any american sign language sites in mind that could teach me. Thing is, I need credits as well, so it has to be an accredited site. If anyone know any good sites like this, please, do tell. I would only love to learn...

  • I could watch this all day!!!

  • thank you thank you thank you Stephen Torrence. Hope the wind blows you back here someday again soon.

  • way to blow my mind, man.

  • I love your videos.. I know a guy at work who is deaf so doing some of these I think will make him laugh at me :D Thank you

you should do a micheal buble song.. i think that would be interesting :D

  • this video never gets old :)

    you rock dude

  • That was amazing :]

  • love your rock out session at 4:39

  • you're gorgeous & heart's too ㅁ^__________^ㅁ

  • This is probably a really stupid question, but what does "CL" mean?

  • Comment removed

  • @ongakunotenshi it stands for the classifiers. like CL:L used at the beginning because guns can be identified with that L shape. :D

  • @ongakunotenshi CL= Classifier (or handshape). Like when you use the D handshape to show a person walking you'd write it CL:D "a person walking." Hope that helps!

  • I love you....just sayinng as a fellow signer, you're amazing <3

  • love your facial expressions :)

  • I think I want to marry this guy.

  • In all these 500 comments, has anyone else noticed he looks like Roger Daltrey? x:

  • You just blew my mind!

  • epic

  • Beautiful!!!

  • dude, absolutely amazing.

  • Love the signing, but alas, you seem to be suffering from "white boy syndrome" when it comes to dancing to this type of music! ;)

  • Stephen, you should get into the interpreterprogramme. Seriously. Get there. ;)

  • hmm, i didn't like it as much as how many views/likes its gotten.. i was expecting a signing to bohemian to be totally trippy/dramatic. my opinion yo

  • Ya cept he isn't Deaf! I used to think he was too, he is really good at interpreting songs =)

  • You are an AWESOME signer! You should soooo keep this up!

  • Youre hot.

  • Excellent!!!

  • I don't even like this song, but I love your signing it! I feel like watching it signed gives it new depth and makes me pay attention to what's actually being said. And THEN this song really rocks :) So thank you.

  • Wow! I'm an interpreter, and this is awesome :) Great job!!!

  • I Love How Much Emotion He Puts Into His Videos. Keep Up The Good Work :)

  • You are so entertaining!!!!! Love your work. Keep it up please!!! You are AWESOME!!!
