Hi MrJimboliha, you were there with me, and you could be right, since the Antwerp gig was in a big, all-seated venue (DeSingel) and the Leuven gig was not. I still have some footage of the Leuven gig as well, though ;-)

I assure you it is Rob Crow.. i suspect nobody will beleive me but I actually shot that footage myself.. god quite a few years back now.. apologies for the shakeyness.. the camera was pretty 'zoomed'. I think this is my favourite Pinback song.. it was the first one i heard.. so beautifully simple :-) After being a massive Heavy Vegetable & Thingy Fan it was quite a change - and a welcome one. Anyway , it def is him!!

This is recorded most likely in 1999 or 2000, on a Thursday night at the old STUK theatre in Leuven (Belgium), I was there. The night after they played at De Nachten festival in Antwerp. I was there too. :-)

Hi there.. I shot this footage :-) And i have an appalling memory but i thought it was the Antwerp festival this was shot at.. cos i went to both shows too and the Leuven venue was waaay smaller.. this one i had to zoom the camera a lot - i disticntly remember being in a big indoor place.. there was a this wicked band that wandered all over the place in a big line playing crazy-cool music :-) hehe.. But you are right on the rough date.. I'm going to find my old passport and clarify better :-)

Pinback is made up of professional musicians Expectations are naturally higher for for them than some random joe off of the street. Same thing for football players or other entertainers. Yeah, they might have a bad night or drop the ball, but you have to be able to do it when the cameras are on at least SOME of the time and not just in a contrived situation (like a studio or during practice). I would like to see a video of Pinback actually nailing this song live, if there is such a video.
