@TacticalT0MAT0 Look at it this way: this is to 'Alan Wake' what 'Aliens' was to 'Alien.'

Some of the more basic horror (ie, fear of the unknown) is weaker, but that's understandable: Wake actually *knows* what's going on. Similarly, he knows that he's the only one who knows enough to fight against it.

And frankly, the evil twin thing works here. Looking like Wake screws with Wake himself *and* makes others less inclined to trust him, if not turn against him outright.
