I saw Fountains open up for Smashing Pumpkins at Nassau Coliseum back in 1997. Their performance was breath taking.During this song the entire stage was all blue with an underwater ripple effect. I loved them so much that I went to see them headlining at Irving Plaza. I think Owsley opened for them (another awesome band). It's a shame that FOW got well known for 'Stacy's Mom' when their earlier work, in my opinion, was so much better.

I saw FOW open for Smashing Pumpkins in 1997 too, but saw them in Pennsylvania. I agree they put on an amazing show, and I agree that their earlier work was far better.
