  • thanks for the review

  • DO I HAVE TO MANUALLY ZOOM WHILE RECORDING!?? I HATE THAT! CUZ THEN IT BECOMES SHAKY WHEN IM TRYING TO DO A SLOW ZOOM! :/

  • @TheDISNEY365 ya, that is a major issue, pros who use dslr for video have to buy all these fancy accessory and equipment to make it function as well as a pro video camera.

  • Thanks for the vid.... Can you please tell me what lens you are using

  • @ZakHussain01 nikon 50mm f/1.4 G

  • Can you tell me your lens hood's name, please? I really would like to buy only the hood, you know?

  • Nice review, but i can control the diaphragm when i want record?

  • i lol'ed @ 1:41

  • How do you get the video to continuous autofocus when filming? I can get it to focus by pushing the shutter button, but I swear it can do it automatically without pushing any buttons? :/

  • @itstimmehc as far as I could tell it cant, i always had to push the shutter to focus, not exactly sure though.

  • @itstimmehc Go to live view and set it to "Full-time-servo AF" (click on 'i')

  • Nice video. Useful to have some shortcuts pointed out. Nicer than wading through a little manual or even worse scrolling through an online one! Cheers!

  • Great video, but how do I adjust the flash with the button at the side? mine doesn't seem to adjust anything??

    M x

  • wow the photos on your website are amazing ! what tips do you have on taking good photos? x

  • very helpful tutorial...I AM A FIRST TIMER WITH DSLR, and ur tutorial really helps...thanks! Btw, amazing that u also paint ;D same as here. Keep up the artist in you!

  • hey dude amazing review how much did you get your lens for .. and do lenses make you take sharp photos or is it the camera itself ././ i take photos but feell like they can be better in quality why is this man!

  • @crisbnh13 the lens is a nikon 50mm f/1.4. There are many many factor that contribute to sharpness, but my guess is it is not your camera or lens, most of the time it is the photographer. You will have to find out yourself though.

  • I like u so much... i lov nikon d5100,

Pls xplain it with 55-200mm lens

  • thanks for teh review, really learn lot from the video...hugs

  • what is the lens in this vedio ????

  • @kemo20022011 nikon 50mm f/1.4

  • Excellent review!

I especially liked that you left in the reality of the battery dead cursing! LOL ;-)

Q1: About how long can I expect the battery to last.

Q2: Do you know if there are longer lasting batteries and what is the high mAh I can buy?

  • @tubeexcellence 600+ pics. I dont know of any other batteries, you will have to get extras. A battery grip allows you to hold two batteries in your camera.

  • @QQQQcon Thanks!

  • fudge! :P Thank you for the review, it helped me! I really love your photos :)

  • Thanks for this!

  • This was really helpful, thanks! I've had my camera for about two months now, but I'm not very keen on reading manuals.

  • Is the software on it the same as the one on the D7000? Is seems uglier I think unless there was an update?

  • is there any way to use the auto exposure lock when shooting in full auto mode?

  • great review! keep it coming! :))
