  • I would not be surprised if those protesters were getting paid.

  • Just decriminalize don't legalize!!!!!!

  • these Church Groups, must not belive in the bible cannibus is in the bible, they are out there marching but as soon as you show it in the bible, they turn there back on it, this guy was out preaching the bible, told him about cannibus in the bible went to show verses to him, he took his bible away, pretended like he did not see it, Legalzie it, God made the plant, not man

  • Do you mean Cannabis? Not Cannibus, Also where is it in the Bible? Personally I think when they annionted people in a faith they did it with Cannabis oil.How about that?

  • I have given you every tree, every herb bearing seed. To you it shall be for meat. Genesis 1:29

Those church groups should actually read the bible.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger Is A Hypocrite Everyone Knows He Smoked Weed Before

  • yea so did Obama, Bush, Clinton, and who knows who else. Bush did coke too.

  • @elenanno1017 ... Schwarznegger is actually looking at legalization ... [fingers crossed]

  • ok to all the people who are saying it is a race thing, then why did the pope outlaw it in the 15th century...there were not Mexicans in Europe then but i guess according to your logic the pope could see the future

  • It was made illegal because it could "makes a black man turn and look at a white woman, or stand on a white man's shadow". Do we really need these laws remaining on our books, laws born out of blatant racism? I say we don't.

  • That was part of the reason it was made illegal the first time. It was re-legalized for WW2 and later made illegal because it would instead of causing violence cause to causing US citizens from becoming pacifists during the early years of the cold war. The Reagan administration admitted that it feared marijuana would cause young adults to sit down and talk to much and potentially rebel against their wayward government. Its all a bunch of bureaucratic bullshit.

  • i totally agree with that. when you smoke weed you're on a different wavelength. when you break the law on a regular basis you start to think for yourself and question authority more.

  • Whats "ludicrous" is keeping it illegal after all this time. Those religious morons should stand behind a much better cause and be smart enough to welcome the end of persecution towards people who use God's herb the way he intended with freedom.

    WHO AGREES?

  • PREACH!!!

  • those priests should protest all the molestations of young boys by their clergymen.

  • its GOING to happen soon in califonia.

its fucking cali :D god i love this place

  • taxcannabis dott org

Let the people vote legalization in!

  • your going to win soon .....trust me

  • BUILDING BLOCKS SON

  • The war on drugs is a war on the American people. What ever happened to WE THE PEOPLE! It is time to take our country back! Get involved in your local elections and stop these politcians from ruinning our way of life before it is too late.

Where California goes so does our country. Screw the Gipper win one for the American people! LEGALIZE PLEASE......

  • Religion always gets in the way of progressive public policy.

    Sigh..

  • Or any form of progress.

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • legalize not legal lies!

  • Once all the old hard headed republicans die off (literally), It will be legalized. Im estimating it would be around 2014-2016 If legalized the users of marijuana will actually drop, so the rupublicans are wrong again.

  • well the dems are the ones saying that legalization would increase the people who use by 40%

  • I highly doubt that percentage.

  • I;d smoke that much more if it were legal XD

  • Marijuana use wouldn't increase by 40%, it's just that that many people would start admitting to it. A lot more people use marijuana than most people think, take away the fear of arrest and loss of employment and a lot of marijuana users will come out of the hot boxed closet.

  • quite right.... In fact, at least 41% of Americans have tried pot, or use sometimes or regularly. Plus what about the fact that alcohol use might decrease... That's worth soooooo much more.. If the entire nation got stoned daily, the worst that would actually happen.... Damn I can't think of anything bad.... Everybody would probably drive slower, so less road fatalities? But ahhh, more wrecks, or fender benders rather. No, the 'social costs' of marijuana are........ nonexistent and made up

  • I'm willing to bet the percentage of marijuana use is much higher in California where medical marijuana is legal 56% of Californians support legalizing and taxing marijuana.

We really need to get this issue out of the hands of politicians, (who I guarantee will not pass AB380), and into the voting booth where it actually has the chance of passing. We need to get this on the 2010 ballot!

    taxcannabis dott org

  • well yeah, that 40% are already people that use it, they will just use it more often now, since they no longer will have to worry about getting arrested or losing their job for it. think about all the time u wanted to smoke but couldnt cause u would get busted for it, that were u would see the increase. which in sales and taxes means the money made from it will also increase by 40%. *hopefully this breakdown helps u guys*

  • 0:50

    i came

  • lol

  • I wonder if any of those Preachers or religious figures ever enjoy an adult beverage once in a while. If they don't then more power to them of living a sober lifestyle, but if they enjoy just one drink once in a great while. They should respect and allow other adults to make their own respective choices on what they choose.

  • I also wonder if they realize that one of the ingredients in the holy oil jesus was anointed with was cannabis. (according to the bible anyway, im not here to talk about religion)

  • Free The Weed!

  • all they can say is "its ludicrous!"

    what a joke

  • AMEN smokesomebuddah420!

And as for the video, I'm getting damned excited about this. They say it's sparking controversy, but if marijuana actually becomes legal, there will be a hell of a lot of 'sparking' going on. haha

  • i love amianohes not afraid of being an openly gay politicianand hes not afraid to bring forward this bill to bring some sence to sacramento and especially washington on their marijuana policy

  • Religion ruins everything. They need to go judge themselves and no worry about others. We all have our own beliefs and its America. America is the place to express those and act on those as long as it hurt no one else. Get high and get close to your own god. Not your preachers.

As for those republicans. They are only backing it for the Religious support. Its all they have anymore besides the Fiscally conservative. Ready to see them Crumble apart.

  • What do they think non smokers are gonna say gee I never had any weed let's try some now that it's leagle?I don't drink and I don't think anything will change that I went thrugh hell when I was a kid because my parents drank and I am sure it would have been a better childhood if they smoked pot instead. What is so bad about a drug that does less damage then any other recreactional drug we use leagally right now and why do people in the us seem to ignore the facts about this drug?

  • Both Jesus and marajuana came to this world the same way, through the grace of god the creator.

  • The only thing that the religious guy can say is "It is ludacris", no arguments of course.

  • Great steps to move this country forward! Let's stay positive and keep this peaceful fight moving. I am glad this is even an actual discussion with our current politicians.

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." Schopenhauer

  • Schwartznegger is a puppet

  • I don't think those old farts would be impressed if I were to show up outside their church with a sign that said "Seriously!"

Q: What does god and marijuana prohibition have in common??

A: They're both fucking ridiculous ideas.

  • That made my day... i lold thnx man heh

  • can i get an AMEN???

  • AMEN BROTHER!!!!

  • DO IT NOW !

  • legalize cannabis now stop these racist laws

  • it doesn't matter where ya from or how you were raised, what i see... is old people with little or no knowledge against cannabis

they don't wanna hear or just don't believe it's a racist law that goes back 2 the 1930's...weed, ganja, 420 chronic, whatever you wanna call it came in from the West Indies, Africa, Mexico, and other continents arriving at the Gulf...going out to the jazz clubs. Sadly law enforcement saw this as a threat, different cultures taking their white women! google Anslinger

  • everyone please next year vote for it be legal i am tiyard of having to watch out for myself and others what do u think will be the legal intonicant level like with alcohol because in order to get a dui you have to have atleast one fresh beer in your system however thc stays in there forever almost like a month on current test they have

  • There as a documentary about weed done in the UK which was basically trying to scare people away from it. Even with that as their CLEARLY intended goal the documentary proves that driving under the influence of marijuana can be clearly recognized by a road side sobriety test (i.e. touch your nose with your eyes closed, stand on one foot etc.) This should really be the only test of someones sobriety, I would feel much safer riding with a stoned driver then an old and tired one.

  • What is the name of the documentary? I would like to know so I can see it.

  • my hart is raising just of having the idea of legalization.....I hope they let us vote on it.....Every ONE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER TO VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2010 Is the year baby

  • yipee im 18 next month ill be sure to vote!

  • Considering the market just for the fuel oil is valued at somewhere between 120 billion and 180 billion California would be back in the black in a few short years,

  • mass movement more like 10-20 religious morons

  • Rofl

  • im blazed lol that is all

  • haha the bald heads against the legalization of ganja

    how surprising

  • lol. That's always how it is... boring people against any reform.

  • free weed!!

  • soon soon we will be free.

  • I hope they legalize it here in TEXAS

  • I hate to say it, but that probably won't come until federal legalization happens. Texas is far too right wing.

  • Maybe they will go SO far right wing that they will go back to the constitution after a SUCCESSION! That would be awesome.

  • Why would the governator be against it? Hell....there's a vid of him smoking a joint.

  • if this passes i am immediately moving to cali... that would just be the final phase to make cali the greatest state in the us

  • Legalize it. Tax it. Regulate it. Let's do this already.

  • Religious leaders like the death and violence associated with black markets. It gives them something to preach about.

  • It certainly seems that way.

  • LOL Damn this news channel is an epic failure hahaha but yeah i do plan on goin to sacremento nd i hope that bill passes

  • religion.............oh please not again

  • Serious??? This is ludacris!!! those religious people sound like bitches

  • criminalize the bible and see how they like it having there freedoms taken away. I like to defend other peoples freedoms because I would not want my freedoms taken away. these are the same people who will take all are freedoms away.

  • looks like its time to get back to work.....

  • Those guys calling themselves a "mass movement" are ludicrous clowns. I mean, how dare they try to use the language of of movements from history that worked to effect change, to defend the status quo?

  • sorry, and of course christians, mormons, scientologists, etc.

  • what always amazes me about the United States is the heterogeneity of the stupidity. On that side you have bigots, republicans, prolifers, retards and gigantic ignoramus

  • You can't tax it THAT much, otherwise people will continue to buy it on the streets.

  • i'd would pay 50 bucks per once to make it worth not going to jail!!!!!! do you know how much it cost in legal fee's? 50 bucks is cheap

  • if they pass this bill I'm moving to california for real.

  • Comment removed

  • WONDERFUL NEWS all we need now is for everyone to see like this guy does and old people either need to join or get out the way

  • Those religious muther fuckers better not fuck this up for everyone else. Who gives a shit about your religious beliefs, save that for your church and dont involve us with your fukin morals.

  • I amone of those christians you are talking about. While I do not smoke marijuana it should be a personal matter not one left to the government. Last but not least."The lord brought forth vegetation with seed and saw that it was good " God made it !!!!!! Satan cannot create that is the difference! Peace be with you. The USA has roughly 5 % of the worlds population and 25% of the worlds prison population. END THE WAR ON DRUGS. This is a war against the American People not drugs.

  • keggs1961 for Congress!

  • Legalise. it will do wonders for the world.

  • Legalize cannabis, ban misinformation(realy).

  • one more reason to moved to CALIFORNIA YAY!

  • I'm up to supporting since it brings extra revenue to the state.

  • Black people suffer the most from marijuana prohibition, so why the hell would black preachers be against legalization? I hope their congregation gives them a kick in the ass. Religion has done far more harm in the world than marijuana, so maybe the government should outlaw religion?

  • fucking religions fools.

they will crush berries for wine

or trees for toxic paper mills

but wont let someone else use a plant (orally for ZERO negative health effect) when it doesnt effect them one bit.

holy fascists. there god is an evil god.

  • idk...but why is church getting on this??? any way...they wont do anithing...they fought againts gay people and lost....we are more!!! we gotta keep fighting...then well move to legalize in mexico!

  • Exactly! I live in Mexico, but for it to be legal here, it must happen first in The States. People always ask me why I care what happens in California, well thats why.

  • i agree it wont work in Mexico until the USA legalizes it. glade im not the only one who sees that

  • Canada is in the same boat man. It would be legal here in about 4-6 years if it was even decrimed in the States.

  • well you guy seem to be going the other way. you decriminalized for like three months then your supreme court revoked it. now you have this conservative running your country like bush. you need to vote in people who support this. at least you guys can grow hemp. when are the elections there?

  • This is great news! For those of our brothers and sisters in other states, I can not recommend getting a copy of the MPP funded publication FALSE POSITIVES EQUAL FALSE JUSTICE by John Kelly. This study has been instrumental in helping those arrested based on field tests have convictions overturned.

  • Now if just the rest of the country would just wake up and end the prohibition on marijuana.

  • again more delays because of stupid republicans and the dumb people that elect these bozos. Postponed til next year and then postpone til year after. All the while the drug clock keeps ticking away on the billions being spent to keep these draconian drug laws. Legalize now, not next year or the flollowing year.

  • I would say that both parties have failed on the drug policy. I don't see a much difference between the republicans and the democrats.

  • do these dumb jesus humper(no offense)

know that it is a plant meaning made from god!

dummmmb that just goes to show you had the marijuana proabition has currupted many ppls free thinking!

  • screw that blak biship with a big black dildo!! LEGALIZE

  • I wonder how many religious people smoke a joint before going to church..

    SERIOUSLY

i can picture some people really getting into church service while they are baked off of their asses..

Singing, swaying back and forth, yelling praise to their jesus..

  • I know of one older married couple..

That attend church every weekend, consider themselves conservatives. Were pro McCain..

But also, occasionly mention their drug use. My friend (their son) said they would do it, if it weren't for their fear of legal ramifactions..

And, I would bet you ANYTHING if it were legal they would smoke a doob before attending church service EVERY WEEK.

  • it won't go through unfortunately. old mind-sets don't go away easily

  • "Does anybody believe additional marijuana use is good for the state of California"? I DO! And fuck you, Senator. You know nothing! Weed really isn't THAT BIG A DEAL! Stop buying into the propaganda.

  • That is the short sightedness of the argument

    1. Legalizing doesn't mean increased or even more use of pot, just means less illegal use.

    2. Is additional alcohol and cigarette use good for the state of California?

No? Then BAN or CEASE state LIQUOR and TOBACCO LICENSING!!

  • huh so theyre is a possibility to legalize it

  • Yea? well im first to thumb you down.

  • I'm travelling to California in April, do you think the bill will pass by then?

  • FIRST!
