I saw Soundgarden and FNM open for Voivod at a little club called The Ritz in Indianapolis (closed many years ago) in '89 or '90...there were like 200 people there...FNM and Soundgarden weren't even Nationally famous yet...absolutely the best show I've ever seen...also saw at the Ritz, RHCP, Slayer, Dead Milkmen, Megadeth, DRI, BB King, Pearl Jam (i think it was the same place) and Digital Underground...you're right - it would never happen again...
