Rodney is so good at skating because skating is all he thinks about and wants to do, on top of that he's been doing it since he was ten years old, so for almost 40 years he has been skating just about everyday. In that amount of time if you focus on one thing, a person can get good at anything.
Sadly alot of people give up after a while, that is why we see so few rondeys.
