Nice one bazia. Dubstep's great in the right mood. I wouldn't so much agree that if you like D&B and breakbeat you'll like Dubstep. Breakbeat's heyday being around 91-93 was a bit happier and more upbeat with piano breaks and chipmunked vocals, whereas dubstep tends to be more of a dark rumbling grinder. Of course DnB can be anywhere in between, so you picks your poison, any or all of the above.
Started 'round the millennium, electronic genre that focuses on bass frequencies and a relatively slow rpm (around 120-140). Normally a very dark, grimey sound. There's wobble bass like this song for example which gives the bass the general "wub wub" sound. Though like any electronic genre, there's about a million sub-genres in it.
Thanks for letting me know. It seems that I was given 2 "poor comments" for asking a genuine question. So i want to thank "isgoanrain" for his time and the people who left "poor comments" can go fuck themselves right off.
When you've got decent people like "isgoanrain" who take there time out to explain things the way they do, why Wikipedia it! By the way.....Wikipedia isn't always right!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well if you get d&b n breakbeat you'll like Dubstep....bit of an aquired taste but trust me it grows on ya!!!...alot of rubbish out there but have a good snoop n you'll find some crackers .... check for Rusko - Cockney Thug, Skream - Blue eyes ,stagger & more , Synkro (various tracks) ...all good ...for a blinding dubstep mix check out whoabee (LEG END!!!) ....and of course what djbazia has to offer :c)) Dubstep is what it is!!
learn to name your tunes and the track over all is pretty sick out the back end of a goat.
