Dude, our DEP groups commander's calls are so not like that. xD I kinda wish they were. We just sit in my recruiter's office and talk about AF stuff and sometimes we run our 1.5 on a school track nearby.

All of my DEP commander's calls was when we would all hang out in the AF recruiter's office, order pizza, and bullshit about Air Force stuff. Every once in a while we'll get an active duty visitor talk to us for a Q & A session.

Just to make a point, the Air Force was and is the best thing that ever happend to me. Its for adults, you need to be mature and self-diciplined to thrive. Im 21 yrs old and make 38k a yr w/ full benefits and im on my junior yr of college, all paid for by the AF. Not to shabby, Its rough at first but you have to pay your dues.

I agree, nothing is ever really funny while you're there but when you leave and you're bullshitting about it later you realize how ridiculous and funny it actually was sometimes. This one time a kid got caught singing in the latrine while we were showering after PT and when we came out our TI grabbed him by his towel and threw him in his wall locker. He then took a quarter out of his pocket and slipped it through the cracks saying "Sing me another fuckin song!" Awesome times.

This is scaled down from how basic is the TI's here are clearly keeping it down. However a comment to all you that think you will laugh and such if someone else is getting yelled at...I thought the same...then I was at basic and I'll tell you I didn't laugh or smile one time while someone was getting tore into...I saw what happened when you do that...but after the fact you will laugh at the retarded stuff.

I disagree. If you were too scared to laugh you were doing something wrong. I was cracking up throughout all of basic. You just had to hide it. It was HILARIOUS hearing some of the things MTIs would say.

I have my first DEP meeting in 5 days. My recruiter said we just have to weigh and then we will discuss a few things. Afterwards my recruiter is taking us bowling! I still do not know when I leave for basic. Hopefully I find out soon! I just want to know!
