Look I don't hate Joe or anything I always believed he had sustain but just weak sounding to me.I like more power;like Geoff Tate ,John Arch and Bruce Dickinson or Warrel Dane for clean more operatic vocal's and it always seemed to me that was Joe's aim to achieve.I think he would've great in a power metal band but not thrash and I like both so there's really no bias;well I probably do or did like more thrash band's than power metal but that aside I think he would've been great in Rage/D.A.M.

Joey Belladonna is the only singer from Anthrax that I really like. John Bush is ok. Joey is better.

I always thought Joey had an airy voice.If Anthrax would've stayed with this style he would've been fine but as they became more heavy his voice just wasn't the compliment to the music they needed.Persistence of time and State of euphoria proved that to be true.I liked the music on those album's but the vocal's just seemed whimsy,and even songs like N.F.L. on Among the living started to show this factor.Joey=metal singer not a very powerful thrash singer to me.

why do nu-metals of 2day have long corny names like "cock balls cunt" or "damn f**k shit piss"? our old school metal had cool normal names like anthrax, megadeth, slayer, metallica, motorhead & if they had more than 2 names they were still cool like black sabbath & iron maiden. i kinda feel sorry 4 2days nu-metal listeners

Campared to other band from the 80's i think Anthrax is still keeping it real. I think there new stuff comes out in October so we will ave to wait and see if they are still thrashing it up :P

joey belladonna is second to none. best vocalist anthrax ever had one of the best voices in metal full stop. i wish more metal vocalists could sing and project their voices like this guy.

I think Belladonna is easily as good as Rob Halford. I don't know why people make a big deal over Bruce Dickinson- he's not that great.

Anyone noticed this has similar chord progression to Madhouse? It could be that they actually rewrote it for the album.

@DieSchwartzmann I think Dickinson is great. He has a powerful and distinct voice. Obviously he's not as good now as he was in the 80s, but that goes for most vocalists. Belladonna is better though IMO. He's one of the finest metal vocalists ever. Anthrax has never been quite right since they kicked him out of the band. I'm so stoked he's back. I can't wait to hear the new album with him. Hopefully his voice has held up.

@zzGRENDELzz Agreed. Nu-metal sucks big time and can't even be compared to metal/thrash of the 80's. This is one of my fav Anthrax albums. Completely badass and the entire EP jams!

Well.. they aren't underrated, i mean.. they are a part of THE BIG FOUR, that is not underrated. So I assume you meant to say least popular, and.. yeah, Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica are way more popular than Anthrax.
