i guess i am lucky to have straight hair. i am caucasian from the netherlands. it just does'nt seem fair. the trouble you have to go by to keep your hair healthy. its not fair nature!!! i use oil on my hair as well. olive oil is great for overnight treatment but not for day time. now i find that almondoil, just the one from the supermarket. is very nice for daytime. its a light not smelling oil and i use it in my hair now dayly. it doesnt look fatty. i use just like palmers coconutoil
@christa1969 No offence or anything but straight hair doesnt necessarily mean healthier hair. I am transitioning to natural hair and i love watching your videos for advice. Media lacks a lot of advice on natural hair treatments especially where im from.
Hi my hair is back length but my ends are soooooooo dry when it use Olive oil it makes my ends look greenish brown making it appear to be burnt and it makes the ends feel crispy... any creamy type of moisturizer with shea butter you can reccomend?
I've just heard about this baggie method and it seems to work well for my extra extra dry hair. My only problem is that leaving it on overnight makes my hair smelly the next morning and I'm not about to go around with stank hair. Anyone else share my problem?
Though you said it's up to you how often you do it, after using the baggy method whenever it is you choose to do it, do you wash your hair the following morning?
P.S. Newbie question, I never did know....are you still meant to oil your scalp, hair etc. even after putting in leave-in conditioner or any condition for that matter?
the salon i used to go to in marietta, ga would do male hair to, i dont know why the one near you doesnt i am sure you could call a few and find a good one
What was the name of that leave-in conditioner that you used on this vid? Also I have a video about my flat iron review that I just posted and you will see how my hair was breaking due from the Megatek. I must say after 2 shampoos and conditions with the Nutrine Garlic Shampoo and Conditioner, there is a gr8t decrease in the breakage. I enjoy your vids and your hair has really grown. Take care and God bless : ).
omg.. good idea for dry ends.. but now my question.. dry scalp!!! help. i am using nat oils and co-wash every two days.. i dont have flakes..just itching!!! and it drives my mad!! so far i havent found anything... that helps.. so im asking miss E

If you have a dry scalp then you might need to oil yours, but it's not necessary. I haven't oiled my scalp since the middle of my transition.

Im gonna try this on my box braids...I bleached the tips and its been kinda dry lately. Thanks!
BuffyunaTV 2 years ago
be careful with that bleach, it can cause serious breakage due to the dryness (from experience) I would do the baggie everynight
