As to what makes Christianity not a cult, you can leave ALIVE without the "intervention" of a third party.
As to why Christianity is better, we grew up. We had a Protestant Movement, an Enlightenment, and we don't threaten to kill people who make cartoons insulting our religion. Watch Family Guy, EVERY EPISODE takes a potshot at Christianity!

Mohammed was allegedly illiterate, so how did this come into existence AT ALL? That aside, there are two wholly separate parts of the Qu'ran, the Book of Mecca and the Book of Medina. All the Warm Fuzzy "Live In Peace With Your Neighbor" bits are from the Book of Mecca, which was written first. The Book of Medina can be summarized as "Kill All Nonbelievers Who Refuse To Convert" with no content-loss!
