  • look at all the geeks in the audience.

  • Hostul...oh..HostILE - love Lana correcting that woman's diction.

  • SHE WAS WONDERFUL

  • SHE WAS SOO PRETTY EVEN AT I THINK AT THIS IN HER 60'S

  • Haha, I don't think she knew what that women meant by the sweater. After watching two interviews with Lana Turner, I know why she is a great dramatic actress...because she herself is dramatic.

  • She was such a fantastic dramatic actress.

  • Do you have the entire episode? Could you post it please? I would be grateful!!! :)

  • Classic Hollywood Stars aged beautifully! Rita, Ginger, Lana, Katherine, Fred, etc. Not like the plastics of today. Whether it's movies, music, politicis or some other industry, everyone is getting touch ups in any way they can, including digital enhancements. Talk about trash.

  • @chilvari I agree with you

  • Wow! I'm amazed. Jane Wyman was such a bitch to her, may she rest in peace, oh dear god, but Lana still said all the wonderful things about her instead of bitching about JANE to everyone. Wow!

  • Sad that Jane Wyman (Angela) had LT fired and killed off. Their two characters REALLY had chemistry with their hatred (onscreen AND off - no matter what LT said).

JW made it clear that she wanted LT's character dead.

  • @bluenail03

I never liked Jane Wyman. Lana Turner could act circles around her. Obviously Jane felt threatened by her.

  • @LOLFanme If I were LT , I would have said "Hell yes JW and I hate each other!!!" That would have made viewers tune in in droves!!!!!

  • @bluenail03 How do you know that?

  • @BobbyDamiano The hatred in real-life between Jane Wyman & Lana Turner was the worst kept secret in Hollywood that traced back to the 40's.

  • @bluenail03 So they kept a rivalry between them for the past 40 years. If Jane didn't personally like Lana Turner, why was she on the show? Why would Lana lie about something like that?

  • @BobbyDamiano TPTB brought LT on BECAUSE of the offscreen rivalry between the two ladies and it paid of. LT began getting more and more airtime and JW put her foot down and demanded that it was either LT or HER! That is why LT's character was killed off at the end of Season 02.

  • @bluenail03

I thought it was Joan Crawford that hated Lana Turner or they didn't get along?

  • that was embarrasing to watch, kringe kringe eeeek

  • gorgeous

  • They sould have never kill lana turner off of falcon crest, I loved it when she

butt heads with jane wyman two classie divas for the ages!

  • This is amazing. I just watched the Falcon Crest DVD's and on wiki it says they hated each other in real life, so it's great she put the record straight!

  • She was had real class...PURE CLASS !!

  • I love Lana Turner and her role as Jacqueline Perrault on Falcon Crest. She totally was made for that role as Chase's Mother. I was sad they Killed her off the show. Falcon Crest was famous for killing off a lot of characters including the main ones. The last few yrs of the show after Robert Foxworth left really were lame. I am glad Jane Wyman was well enough to come back after her illness.

  • Lana had beauty and class just pouring off of her. She was such a great actress. I loved her in Payton Place and Imitation of Life as well as Madame X. I couldn't hold back the tears on several of these shows.

I love you Lana and you will always have a special place in my heart.

    RIP my dear.

  • beautiful miss turner - a real star of the golden hollywood era...

  • Thanks for sharing.

FYI it's the "Phil Donahue Show" not "Paul Donahue".

  • Thanks, you're right. Had someone else in mind while posting this ;-)

  • Thank you for posting!!!!!!!!

  • A feud developed, though, after the airing of this show. By the end of it, she and Wyman were not on speaking terms, according to the crew.

  • I recall Davis denying a feud with Crawford, and Crawford denying a feud with Davis during "Baby Jane." But everyone connected with the filming, and every biographer, claims there was a helluva feud.

What could Lana possibly say? "Yes, there was a feud, I don't like Wyman."

    Impossible.

  • yea i agree...those dames were pure class back then! you didnt air out dirty laundry in the press, if you hated a bitch you smiled to the camera, denied it and then cussed her ass out to anybody who'd listen off the record! :) but for the life of me i dont remember Lana on FC, i guess she was gone from the show by the time i started watching. what character did she play? btw, wow she was STUNNING! even @ this stage of her life she was still breathtakingly beautiful!

  • Yes, on camera and in those movie magazine interviews, these classy ladies denied it all. But in their tell-all books, oh boy, did they let loose. Which is understandable, since they wanted to sell books. One such book is (ghostwritten) by Esther Williams. It's a howl. Lana's own book was pretty tame. There are those (including me) who believe it was Lana who killed Stompanato, not her daughter, who took the rap as a juvenile.

  • Sad to hear that they didnt get along ...so i guess that wasn't acting on the screen! lol

but yes i heard that a lot of people believe that she is the one that commited the murder...and many have said she gave "the performance of her career" on the witness stand when she testified...anyway, im so intrigued by the legends from that era in Hollywood...they don't make broads like that anymore! :) btw, thanx for the reccomendation on those books...i might have to try & find them! i love celeb bios!

  • Those celeb bios are my weakness. I keep Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie FIsher, and Debbie Reynolds all together... so they can fight it out. I recommend the one by Esther Williams and her ghost. It disses the usual suspects like Crawford and Davis. There's a hysterically funny part about Lana and Fernando Lamas.

  • lol ok...i think i will try to check those out! :)

p.s. have you ever read "call her miss ross" by j. randy tamborelli? GOOD STUFF!
