We lost in the playoffs those years to GB because we had no running game. The one year we did, we didn't have Jerry Rice.

Yeah, Favre scored on us, but they NEVER scored more than 23 on us (their defense and special teams scored points for them that put them over that mark).

1995 their offense scored 20 on us- they returned a fumble for a TD

1996 they really only scored 21, but Desmond Howard made two huge returns (one for a TD, one very close, I think).

1997 they scored 23.

I don't know if the '94 niners were the best niners team ever. Might give that to the '84 niners. It gets me a little teary-eyed to see how good my niners were and how far they fallen. It was 28-10 going in to half time. Young had thrown four TDs by then Rice, Watters, Floyd, Watters.

But you are right. There wasn't a team that had a chance. That was the best team of all time during that stretch run they had (from about mid season through the Super Bowl).
