Love this guy's upbeat demeanor and sense of humor in the face of strife and unjust treatment of our socio-political age. Without that, you lose a lot of listeners. It sorta happened to John Lennon in the early 70's. And he was a pretty funny guy. His manifesto didn't get the recognition it deserved until after his death. Fortunately, Gil understands the medium he's trying to subvert into a higher conscience level. Just wish more people picked up on him. Maybe we wouldn't be so bad off
The reporter is an absolute arse hole, would he speak like this to that over hyped loser: Bob Dylan who sings claims to be socially aware but has never once spoke against his beloved Aparthide regime of israel??
@g0ldb3rg3r Good point. I like Dylan a lot, but I don't put him up on a pedestal the way most critics or musicians do. He probably has more drek than great music in his 50 years as a songwriter. But GSH's music is at least relevant even in his lesser material. That to me is the mark of a great musician and (true) poet. I wonder why more rappers haven't sampled his work,(not that i want them to)
