  • @bellasoprano77 calm the hell down, its just a fucking song just listen to it.

  • The french people unwisely were spending money in the Americas. Their financial problems were not all her fault.

  • me encanta esta peli, excelente actuacion de Kristen.

  • mkay you all. imagine this. an 18/19 year old has control of all of france and she has money.

what else would she do other than spend it? i mean, not the best decision, but still most teenagers today would just go shopping.

  • No need to be rude! it is true that Marie Antoinette was a terrible queen who spent loads of money for her parties when the whole country was starving, but this movie shows the storie from her point of view, she was unhappy and tried to forget it by partying.... Of course it selfish and inresponsible but what would you have done in her position (far away from familly and friends in a place where everyone is looking at you and with a very hard "étiquette" meaning life rules, no intimacy....)

  • wow what are you all smoking? she was queen for over a decade and completely ignored the suffering of her people. she deserved to lose her head; she clearly wasn't using it. there's ignorant, and then there's stupid. yes, the movie is fascinating, but pull your heads out of your asses a recognize that it isn't even close to a representation of the truth.

  • favourite movie!! :) in the past 2 years i have seen it 47 times!!!! XD

  • In my Opinion, she was just a Teenager, she was confused and She had to control a nation at the Age of 18-20. She was VERY misunderstood, but I think she was still brave and she did what she could I actually like her and I recently Bought the movie. I loved it. It's so real. anyway, Awesome song ( :

  • omg. i absolutely LOVE this movie & this song! I just watched this movie like 3 times in a row. lol. It's so calming & interesting & lovely :] I never knew much about her but after watching this, i like her. She was frickin 18 AND the QUEEN of france. I honestly would've done the exact same things if i were her. From her lavish & large hair do's, to being the only 1 to clap after a moving opera peice. I almost don't care if this is historically correct. I love this movie.

  • This soundtrack is amazing!!

  • good clip. have any of you people saw the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it's awesome, i recently down loaded it. its got completely every thing in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the newest arena glitch. i probably shouldn't tell people about it however at least it gives you all a fair opportunity to dl it before i own you all!

  • Thanx for posting this song :-)

  • also, why the sudden outrage about their queen? they cut her head off in the 1789 revolution and all. now in hindsight, they see how majestic history was. ahhh...history.

  • I love the soundtrack for this movie! It was a good way to show how young and in over their heads they were. While I think the movie drew out a lot of sympathy for Marie Antionette, they made so much up.I know they had to pick so they could tell her story in a two hours, but I felt like it left the impression that she did nothing but run around Versailles all day with a glass of champagne in her hand (which kills me because she never drank)and make love to Fersen (that too had very little basis).

  • @christineadorno i think while they tried to make the movie as historically accurate as possible, it is afterall a just a portrayal of marie antoinette. and it's a movie. outraged critics need to take a chill pill. i think the movie could've done without dialogue to be quite honest. just sound + video would've made it much more picturesque and cinematic.

  • this voiceis so ugly

  • @ToFierce2handle did you watch the movie? you gotta watch that scene to see how perfect it is

  • i absolutely adore this song

  • i love this song it's my favorite of all

  • This song is so awesome, i luv it. :)

Why do i cry when i see this movie? Everytime....

  • Fuck you goobertay. This movie is great...if you don't fuckin like it, bitch why the hell are you commenting on the soundtrack? Go fuck yorself, dumbass.

  • I get tears in my eyes too everytime I watch this movie. I love this movie, it's so beautiful :) I like the outfits, the music, the gardens, her doggies.. what a great movie. Love this soundtrack xoxox

  • the lyrical melody of the one from the 60's sounds slightly similar to the lyrical melody of this song.

ps-im an american living in japan, married to a japanese. if you need help with english, please send me a message.

  • super!!!

  • its sad but once you're born into it your life is doomed to disaster and as a young woman you have to make tough choices to decide how to stay in power, provide for the people, and 'create an heir for the throne'. Yet i still want to be a princess. stupid i know.

  • it doesnt have to be accurate

    its creative

  • best version the first notes sound like drunken happy love seeing through the distortion......

  • Wow, it's almost creepy how much it sounds like the song has a line in Norwegian. The words "fools rush in" becomes "sola skinn" (pronounced "soola shinn", and it means "the sun shins") in my ears.

  • amazing

  • i think she had the potential of being a wonderful queen.... a course i keep expecting lady Oscar to jump in... so no comment

  • What a terrible shock it must have been for them when the reality of the terror all came tumbling down around them..

  • she was 15 when she came to versailles

  • Does someone know how to find the song whitout the remix of Kevin Shields? I want the version in this video, non that one! But on emule I only find the remix...=(

  • use vidtomp3 . com

  • But this IS the remix by Kevin Shields o-o The one you keep finding in emule is the original, and this is the Kevin Shields one (At least that's what my soundtrack says o.o)

  • I was desperately looking for that song! Thank you!!

  • makes me sad and happy

  • fools rush in... in my opinion somebody made a right choice by choosing this song on the soundtrack..

  • what is funny, I think, is that Sofia picked Americans to play French monarchs. But I love this movie, and by no means am i bashing it.

  • not french SONGS but I meant the ACTORS she picked.

  • that's true. French people are so much more great.

  • yuup.

  • Fools Rush In

  • this music makes you want to be alive...a memory from my past and what a great film.

This is my Desert Island Discs No 1......

  • ho visto ieri questo film...

    che dire...stupendo!!!

  • concordo è meraviglioso! lei è quasi moderna, un po' punk... è una teenager come altre! io cercavo disperatamente la canzone finale! qualcuno sa come si chiama??

  • title of this song please??

  • After seeing the movie i started to do some research about marie antoinette and found out how sad her life was. Her husband, the king was killed while she and her children were locked in jail. And soon after her children were taken away from her so she could be killed. And her son died of some disease years later in jail. her daughter was the only person who lived. Marie Antoinette was only 37 when she was killed by her people. :(

  • how was the daughters life after the french revolt?

  • only one survived ! greetings from Austria !

  • This song is good. The singer makes it special. I like it

  • It's not the song... It's who sings it xD It's actually a very beautiful song in it's original version... But yes, the girl's voice is not that amazing...

I just like the song xD

  • like you can sing any better.

  • actually i probaly can, and you have some problems you need to fix, i bet you can't sing any better, that just goes to say your voice is probaly worse than this things voice.

  • Oh My God, This So is FABOULOUS!

    IS AMAZING!

  • LOVE IT! <3

  • thnks a lot!

  • love this song!!

    -z.car'tel

  • marie antoinette <333 is an awesome queen IN MY OPINION she rox and there all idiots for killing her

  • I wouldn't say she was "awesome queen" in the slightest. This film takes a stance from her perspective, and by all means is not accurate. She was young and got swept up in the magic of Versailles and being royalty, as any girl of 16 in her position would have. But she still spent France into ruin and contributed to the bread riots.

  • crrection: i believe she was 14 when she came to Versailles... not 100% sure though...

  • But how can you say the film isn't accurate when, in reality, we will never truly know what her emotions and feelings were when she was alive. We can only imagine, and somewhat relate.

  • @KungFuSouljaGirl One day, I would love to hear your argument about that. Not that I agree or disagree. It's just not the conventional response. haha.

  • @KungFuSouljaGirl I agree.! The press made so many false accusations against her.! Like incest with her son.? It's so stupid.! Poor Marie :( She was just a naive innocent soul that just wanted happiness for her country & family :(

  • @leJiNX i could've had said it better. she was a young girl and what do young girls like to do? shop and have fun.

  • @KungFuSouljaGirl yeah..in school we kinda voew her as bad...then i just so happen the find the movie 2day......and she was great....

  • the vocals make this song awesome x)

  • Does anybody know where I can download this song? I must have it!

  • itunes and look up marie antoinette. it shuld be the first soundtrack... ull know.

  • Ok, thank you very much! :D

  • love this song:) thanks for posting!

  • I cry every time I listen to this song...

  • omg omg omg :D

i'ver searched this song for so long!!! I LOVE IT :D

marie antoinette is an awesome movie :)

  • Superb. The whole thing is superb. The movie, and from the soudtrack this song is one of my fav.

  • The vocals are intentionally like this! I think is a great fit to the movie scene.....

  • great song, loved the dorsey/sinatra original, annabella does her usual brilliant job here with her unique pure voice

  • :) great song...

    Good film too

  • songs melody is wonderful.. something unreal.. xDD

  • At 0:20 it is like the singer is trying not to laugh.

  • I love the song its just that if it was a different singer it probabbly be betr. Also in the picture kristen dunst is probablly in her beheading clothes similar to marie antoinettes in real life because she was beheaded after her husband. she was only in her mid 30s when she died. but they were so close from escaping france because of the evelution but a peasant saw them even though they were dressed a common citizens and they were arrested and later on beheaded. i know that her son died at 10.

  • if you dont know history, your doomed to repeat it :3

  • The director was going more for a pop-culture feel to the whole movie rather than the historical properties, so that kind of singer suited the movie better than other singers.

A note on your historical comments: I don't believe she would be in her beheading clothes in that picture, because that was before they were imprisoned. Both were imprisoned for a long time before their deaths, so I don't think those would be their clothes.

  • i think she intended to sound like that, cause of the way she did it. she's got a good voice so why wouldn't she sing like she sings normally? i think it's because when she sings it this way it just sounds right and fits with the music.

  • I love this song. I think the singer's voice is different, not bad.

  • favorite song out of the movie....kind of strange because the vocals aren't that good....but it fit really well in the scene!

  • I really love how this song sounds so not perfect but so right! and fits beautifully in the movie.....I really like it!

  • This is from Bow WOw...aw..so cute!

  • the song matches totally with the scene... awesome work, I love marie antoinette, she was so beautiful and... unlucky

  • Her voice isn't the best but it goes with the essence of the song. I like this song and I like the movie alot too.

  • When I saw this movie in the theatre, I thought "who gave this girl a mike"?! But I own and LUV this movie and soundtrack. It's just this song that annoys me!

  • I agree is not the best vocals but totally perfect for this song, I ctually love the way it sounds so not perfect....that makes the song so great!

  • this song is totally a feel good song!!!

  • lol

  • I love this version of the song

  • :O

    AWESOME.

  • i cant believe the real marie got married when she was only 14!

  • nothin' special fot this time

some girls got married with 12 or even younger

  • you can see the converse at the start of the I Want Candy scene/video- they're light blue!

  • omg, you are right!!!

I ask myself if sofia wanted them to be there or if it is a fault?!

  • This is my all time favorite move and song!!

  • i luv this song.

  • during the movie, there is a scene where you can see a pair of converse sneakers. lol.

i love this song, and the movie. =D

  • me encanto esta pelicula sofia hizo un buen trabajo

  • very modern twist on a historical diva.

  • Love the film and the scene matches this song well ~~ cool song~!!

  • I totally agree with u Katherine. This song is divine. It has a beautiful French sound and a eerie sound that I can't describe it so unqiue. I iwsh these songs wore playing all the time ont he radio instead of other crap. I also thank this movie for playing so much of this unqiue sounding songs and now I have a totally different perspective of music. Thank Sofia Coppola and Kirsten Dunst.

    R.I.P Marie Antoinette

  • i like this song... ^.^

the singer is ok but it would sond better with someone diff.... :|

  • Love this

  • DIVINE!

  • and exactly what do u listen to. underground. i like the faster version better though. nice song 2!

  • that is so weird when i first heard the song i didnt like it so much but then i gave it a second chance and now im in love with the song its amzing the melody and lyric

  • OMG!!! I love Marie Antoionette (From the Movie and History, she was the 17 centurys rock star)

  • i luv this song

  • At first you dont like it, but it grows on you! Like fungus!

  • lol same hereee

  • hey that´s pretty awesome!

  • i dunno why but i really like this song!

  • It's a catchy song and has beautiful origins. Not to mention people usually have emotional responses to songs. So alot of people probaly like it because of hearing it and seeing the movie mixed with it. Don't be so harsh music is a matter of opinion. One persons art is anothers trash why point out you think its trash let them find beauty in something that you clearly don't. Where is your tolerance?

  • That was really well said lilaclyric!

  • SWEET!!!!!!!

  • i have no idea why but i love this song

    it's catchy.

  • your Grandparents would know this song.... Try typing: Fools Rush In on the youtube search bar.....

    TADAH!

  • i have no idea why i like it so much either, i heard it in the movie and just...fell in love with it! it has very sweet lyrics.

  • this song makes me smile for some reason=]

  • This song makes me think Im running in the night jumping into the arms of my boyfriend who i havent seen in a a year.

  • It is really beatiful movie, I investigated french revolution and I changed my mind on several questions! Thanks.

  • ooohhh yeah!!! thanks! its been bugging me all day

  • This is after they attens the mask ball, and are on thier way back home, where they find out that the king is ill :]!! I love this movie!!!

  • the way she sings is sooo unique a frst it didnt song so hot but its really a nice song.

  • i think so too, but for some reason i kinda like the song

  • same here, think they need a better singer. But it DOES grab your attention!

  • cute lyrics!

  • i love this move SOOOO MUCHHHH its crazy and this song is amazing!!!

  • <_< It's not crazy; it's true.

  • love that <33

  • one of the best films ever its so fun

  • ily this movie and all the music everyone says the 80's punk rockish music is senseless but it is so so so practical it is genius i really love aphrodisiac it is so good..!!!!

  • I just LOVE this song, it's exactly the way I feel when I'm in love!!!

    Thank you so much,

    Ire

  • This must have been the funnest movie to shoot,

  • L-O-V-E IT!

  • My goooooood! I love this song, I love this movie, I love kristen, I love Sofia... I love everythings in marie-antoinette... <3 XD

  • My goooooood! I love this song, I love this movie, I love kristen, I love Sofia... I love everythings in mari-antoinette... <3 XD

  • such a good song nd great movie

  • for some reason the version on the soundtrack seems different than on the movie, it's like the sound enhancer is on crack and the guitars are way way louder than the bass and the beat unlike in the film.

  • a lot of ppl have been saying that, im gonna have to watch the movie again and listen to the difference, i cant tell

  • this is freaky yet really funky...i like!!

  • This version of fools rush in is so BRILLIANT!! <3 Really.

  • I LOVE IT LOVE I LOVE IT!!! THE FILM SHOWED MARIE ANTOINETTE REALLY WELL! Marie antoinette wasnt that bad she used her carriage to help the injured, gave away a months income to people who's houses were crushed by crowds ulike other members of the royal family she refused to hunt on farmer's or private land killing crops and she gave away toys to children and invited the poor children to play with her's and her spending was like a drop in the ocean compared to france's other expences

  • Very true

  • Truely stated!

  • King Louis XV (marie antoinette's husband's dad) mistress, Madame Du Berry, spent more money than Marie did!

  • yeah i no!! i9 dont like madame du barry very much

  • who does?

  • lol, yes you have a point!

  • yes, but Marie was a queen, so she was more known among the public than a mistress, and more focused upon. Also, Marie was accused of making bad comments, such as in the "then let them eat cake" situation. Very bad PR....

  • Actually, she didn't say that. Enemies of the Queen made that up and told that to peasants to get 'em all riled up.

Historians believe that some Spanish princess actually said that line but it was more like, "Let them eat the pie crusts" or something like that.

  • yeah, but you never know whats true or not. her last words were "pardon me, monsieur, i did not mean to do it." because she accidentally stepped on the executioner's foot. so she couldn't be that bad

  • Loove the song, such a.... unique voice!!

  • this song i never really took the time to listen to whole thing but its really awsome

  • Fave song on the soundtrack!
