Man that sounds amazing! Souch a beastly idle. I know exaclty what your talking about with the magnaflow kit. I was looking to purchase an exhaust system for my v6 mercury milan. After hearing your car then listening to the other cars with the magnaflow kit, its not even a question which way to go. I cant even hear to the other kits compared to yours. Great Job

if you do just one flowmaster then i would say pretty close i dont know if the I4 creates enough airflow for two flowmasters

Exhaust Modifications

- Removed the cat and resonator

- Upgraded my entire exhaust pipes to a bigger size

- Added 2 Flowmaster Super40s

- 4" tips to improve the sound quality (acts like a megaphone)

well considering the V6 comes stock with the dual Y pipe .... there isnt much space in the center of the fusion to put only 1 muffler and have a "single in, dual out" action if thats what you were looking for ... so the V6 fusion is made perfectly for 2 mufflers ... but in most V6 fusions i seen on youtube ... they all use 2 kinds of mufflers whether its flowmasters or not

I just think it sounds grrreat. Here is an idea. You can put Dynomat in the car. I am told that you put it in the trunk, hood (yes even with the heat), door panels and so on and the car will be a lot more tame on the inside. It is not just for people who have sound systems. Told it makes the car feel like a high end sedan. Takes care of road noise and such as well. Something to think about maybe. Ya gotta love that gargle!

HAHAHA! as a matter of fact ... my trunk is dynomatted! i am running 2 12" kickers ... its being pushed by 1200watts ... it made my trunk rattled so much i had to put the dynomat material on ... and yes ... i noticed a huge difference from the sound of my exhaust being a little bit more softer ... i forgot to mention it earlier haha ... you planning on doing anything to your fusion?

That sounds pretty amazing. I just bought an '06 Ford Fusion SEL V6. Had a Contour SVT before it. Really enjoyed the sound of the SVT. Sadly my Fusion lacks the kick. Then I saw this! I have concerns though. Mainly about interior noise. I know people who have pickup trucks and they stick those duel exhaust on and suddenly the drive it so noisy and such a drone that after a 15 minute drive you pray for death. How would you describe the interior noise change?

hmmm lets see .... I would say the noise from the inside isnt that bad at all especially if you were to have your windows rolled up and running the A/C ... think about it as .... if you were to listen to my exhaust right now ... just cover your ears over with your hands ... I'm not so sure but the way the fusions are built ... they were created to eliminate a lot of exterior noise so I would say on the inside with everything rolled up .... it cuts 60-75% noise just to give you a simple idea lol

oh and if you wanna ride with the windows up ... sometimes i just leave the rear windows up to eliminate the noise too ... so I would say you wouldnt have to worry about the noise being that bad ... sometimes I get surprised on how loud it is if I was to walk out of the car just to compare the volume

Gotta admit.. MUCH better than the first video and a pretty good sounding fusion.. but I think I'da gone with some Magnaflows on the V6

lol thanks ... nah the magnaflows dont give the sound i was looking for ... every fusion i heard on youtube with the fusion magnaflow kit sounds too soft and wimpy and doesnt deliver the roaring sound i want ... i had my car done by a professional that put cars in shows down here in hawaii so I was pretty fortunate that he is a friend of mine. thanks again for the comment

oh and ... dont get me wrong ... im not dissing the magnaflow kit for the fusions ... its good for adding hp ... but im leaning more on the looks cuz fusions arent really meant for racing (just gotta be real) but my friend that owns a fusion and VIPed his car and it looked sick ... never thought i would see any fusion like his so im in the process of doing that too ... my 20" rims should be on within 2 weeks from now and then air runners

That has got to be one of the best sounding v6 that I have heard in a long time! It has a very smooth yet clean sound to it with just a hint of rumble down low. One word: AWESOME!!

well I was fortunate enough to have a friend that owns an exhaust shop ... for everything, he charged me way under $400 ... I live in Hawaii so I'm not sure how its like where you live ... I believe to get everything like what I got done ... would usually cost anywhere between $600-$700+ ... check the mods I did up on the description ... then you should check out some shops for the best deals

Wow that ended up perfect. I cant wait to do that to mine. The only thing i dont like on mine is that i can only hear the flowmasters at around 2200 rpms then its quiet. Will it be loud at all rpms without the cat and resonator?

yes ... but if you are afraid of risking your warranty ... i would suggest you remove only the resonator ... if you watch my first video before this one ... i didnt remove my cat yet ... and its pretty loud on idle which i believe you are looking for ... but the good thing about the fusion is if you were to remove your cat ... your service engine light wont turn on ... so it may be a little hard to get busted for lol ... also upgrading your pipes helps a lot

alright i put a 2 1/4 pipe swap for the resonator on my fusion and dang it sounds way better. the only thing i need to change is the tips cause they r resonated and i think it makes it quiter. but thanks for letting me know now i enjoy my exhaust more

haha sweet! i think the best size for tips would be about 4 inches (which are the size im running on my car) but maybe 4.5 inches may be cool too ... but i got my tips online so if you want ... go to a shop first and see how big you want it so that it looks good then just order it online cuz it may be cheaper

I have a set of 4.5 inchers that came off my mustang, and put them up to my mother's Fusion and it looks quite goofy... honda-ish lol 4 is pushin it but still looks pretty good on yours. I wouldn't go any bigger unless you like to please Ricers and most Hispanics. lol and Online is waay cheaper than most shops. these 4.5's were $50/ea at the shop, they're Summit... and @ Summit Racing, they were only $20/ea Rip Off? haha

NICE!! my next step to my exhaust is high flow headers, the only thing is you can only get it for a Mazda 6, but it will fit on the Fusion its the same Duratec 3.0

It bolts up perfect, i had a mechanic make sure it was the same set up as my stock headers and pipeing, the good thing is the performance headers eliminates the mini cats thats on the stock headers right before the o2 sensors.

wow so that will pretty much make your car pretty darn loud huh? are you still covered under warranty? i was fortunate enough to not get caught by the dealer with my cat being removed when i took it in for an oil change haha! are the headers gonna cause any problems with the cars computer? since you got me thinking about it ... i may consider looking into headers too! haha

Yeah i have one year left on my factory warranty, they might say somthing about the cat since when you get oil changes they do a mini inpection but they cant void a warranty for that, when you order the headers you have to get an O2 spacer kit that moves the O2 sensors back so it wont read the exhaust flow that much for it wont set off a code that the cats are not their.
