It's probably not a matter of letting them do it. When a band releases a cover song commercially, usually they must obtain rights from the owner of the song, which is probably in the thousands of dollars.
Then Disney should commission them to do the covers and release an official album kind of like what Disney is already doing everytime they release one of their "Greatest Hits' performed by various Disney actors and actresses and general top artists. Something like that "Mad About The Mouse" album only featuring theses guys.
You can't say they are straight ska anymore.. That new album of their was pretty.. disco/boyband sounding. They've even announced that their NEW NEW album they are working on right now is going to be a pure ska album, which implies that even THEY feel that they were mixing genres and moving away from their roots.
i had a similar thought process - but i realized it's a somewhat guarded support . "sure, you can play at our pad..but we won't make a big deal about it or give you publicity on our multiple tv channels."
truly the best true good band that was made popular by disney. everyone has to get at least one thing right and disney hit the nail on the head with suburban for sure.
yeah - but they do have the best stage presense i have ever seen.. seriously i have seen iron maiden, rush, and a few others - but nobody can do what these guys do (maybe Whole Wheat Bread haha)
Really? A lot of people said the audio wasn't that bad when I first posted them. Hey, at least it's better than most concert videos on YouTube, where you can't hear a darn thing other than extremely loud muffled sounds.

they are just really flamboyant. and kinda douches. their music is good. but their dancing is way too over the top
UltimateRetard 3 years ago
So, choreography = douchebaggery? You, sir, confuse me.

they are a DISCO ska band. Disco was completely about over the top dancing.
razorcloud 2 years ago
They've been doing the dancing since long before they started playing disco music.

They're third wave ska. Calm down and stop inventing genres.

I don't understand Suburban Legends- They're a band supported wholeheartedly by Disney. And yet they're not bad.
My mind... she is melting...
