  • This ain't the blues, it's too cleaned up. White Englishmen should not play the blues!

  • Jagger is not in best..But he do a greate blues song .Thanks ..

  • anybody know where I can get a DVD version of "Stripped"?

  • @swacbro from there website

  • Passion man, passion...

  • Un maudit beau frotte-bedaine....lolll

  • An interesting version but its not quite the same without Bill's bass and Mick's leads, although the other Mick's harp is a sweet touch.

  • Forever fresh and soul tantalizing... No explanation required.

  • Great tribute to the greatest Blues man of all, the grandfather of Blues based Rock and Roll, and whether he sold his soul or not (rural legend) the greatest guitarist of all, the legendary Robert Johnson

  • Mick and the lads turn this tune out.

  • great cover

  • I dig the part when Ronnie's debro kicked in man, outta site , Keep rockin' mate's !!

  • ron isn't really gifted on the slide guitar ...

  • @beeyable yeah, I keep thinkinghow great would this be if Mick Taylor was playing along

  • Pretty freakin' awesome.

  • para mi la mejor balada de los stones aunque sea un cover

of course is a cover but is the best ballad of the stones

  • I only said that, for me, the version with Mick Taylor is the best.

  • @domgiustino lol!!!! he's a washed up drug addict

  • what a goddamn treat this is. Yesterday was Robert Johnson's 100'th birthday (08/05/1911). He was the writer of this song, and I have always loved the Stones cover, but this is the first time I have heard this version. It is great, love it.

  • great cover

  • This music with Mick Taylor was another thing.

  • @domgiustino but now it's...ROCKING RON WOOD !!!!

  • Perfect!!!

  • The greatest bar band in the world, bar none (and bar pun ha!)

  • two mates at work.... pure magic

  • Fucking great... There is no comparison with others musics, stones are unique.

  • Rolling Stones is fantastic

  • where can I find the tab?

  • @estderoma google it! i usually search for the "911 guitar tabs". cheers!

  • Wish this music never ends!

  • everybody loves this song!!!

  • okay people. this song is in REGULAR tuning.... the song is played in G rather than in Bb because of the absence of the capo on the third fret. No capo, no weird tuning, no nothin. The original recording has a capo on the third fret making it higher, and this is not half a step down, it's 1 and a half steps down. the end.

  • I love this version, really really love.

  • What tuning is this version ? Anyone know

  • @dronai standard

  • @spyonthesoftparade Maybe a 1/2 step down ? Sounded diferent, when I tried to match playing it.

  • great version of this robert johnson song

  • Listen 1972 Tour record with mick Taylor on guitar ... Ron wood is just pathetic .

  • @fondofrory

to hard on him, i like him too, but of course taylor was the king

  • wowwwww : Robert Johnson + Rolling Stones ;

  • I wish I was the harmonica back then. ;-)

  • i sing this all the time

  • Love this song. Rare treat to hear Mick playing the harp. He is a good player and I don't think I have ever seen him blow one. Thanks for the post RR Shaman

  • mick still has his voice !!

  • @CletusColtrane You are funny. Ever try stand-up?

  • @CletusColtrane Robert Johnson would have loved this song especially since it's being performed by some white boys from England. In other words, he would have been proud that his music has reached so many people and changed their lives. Just wanted to let you know since you don't get IT.

  • @CletusColtrane Stop following me around youtube cletus. What are you some kind of stalker? It seems like you have some kind of inferiority complex with other musicians or something? Just because you can't play doesn't mean you have to run other people down. It's also kind of weird that you would bring up homosexual emotions toward Mick, when I didn't even mention his name. I have a feeling you and Mark David Chapman have alot in common along with Buffalo Bill.

  • Amo esta cancion, por Dios!!! STONES ARGENTINOS POR SIEMPRE!!!!

  • Fuck, this is too good.

  • everything sounds great until Ronny Wood comes in with his twangy amateur slide...Mick taylor was the best!!

  • @smump4 shut up

  • @smump4

But Keith Richards played all guitars on the original 1969 recording, while sessioneer Ry Cooder did the mandolin.

  • This is how you do it right here.

  • @RocknRollShaman The song is in G. The slide is tuned G. The slide lead is in G. So why in the world would he be tuned to A ?!

  • @Fasted2010 Yes, but the blood transfusion was in O.

  • Your song, Erich!

  • my love is in vain... remembering me with my old times...

  • It looks like open D to me--the song's in G and he's playing a lot at the fifth fret.

  • ♫........Gran tema

    Great song!!!

  • Who is the black dude, he is coooler than the Fonz? Great musician. Im BUGGIN out of this GTEAt performance

  • @bklyncosanostra This is Daryl Jones, formaly Miles Davis, Sting, Weather Report,, a Jazz-Bass-man, one of the best in the world. If you want a cool groove, Daryl is your man. I love him.

  • @bklyncosanostra You would never catch the Fonz in a hat like that (ha, hah)

  • This is a song you make love to. Period.

  • Man.... Keith Richards is so badass.

  • God bless Robert Johnson!

  • für loveintrain....

  • Love this song! Love the original by R Johnson, love the studio version, the live version on Get Yer Ya Ya's out, and now this little gem..!

  • Wouldn't it great to sit and listen to a night like this in a regular beer joint!?

  • Robert Johnson's song beautifully composed

  • I luv this song, and it's the best version of this song ! Rocking ronnie ! xD

  • Keith will still be jamming this bad boy out in 200 years

  • Ron wood suck . Mick Taylor we miss you !

  • @fondofrory actually Brian was by far the best. And Ronnie is sick - especially at slide and blues

  • Sorry, but I prefer the original 1969 version with Ry Cooder on mandolin.

  • graciaspor dejarme ver lo que me gusta musica por siempre

  • Keith's guitar is not tuned to open G, you can see from this vid he plays a G then G7th. When he about to change to the G7th you can see his index finger move to F (top E string)

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY Thank you. He is also using 6 strings inspite of many insisting he only plays with 5. And someone stated he was playing in Nashville tunning on "As Tears Go By", but it is at the same session, so I don't think he re-strung his guitar between songs. These are definitely standard strings.

  • @TEB1952 right on. See my version of Love in vain, it was mainly copied from Keith here. As stated, you can see the change to (ordinary tuning) G7th in the vid.

As tears go by ?? really? What aother tracks? No Sympathy for the Devil? Pretty sure that one is open G

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY Sorry, I ment Wild Horses, Studio Stripped version, not As Tears Go By.

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY you´re right bro!!!

  • Mick Taylor WE MISS YOU

  • GREAT MATURE JUNK VERSION .. ..AND I LIKE IT !!

  • incredibly good

  • @RocknRollShaman But here's in open D. He usually tunes his Gibson dobro-type guitar to open D. But his electrics (Zemaitis's mostly) are in open G (often capoed on 2nd fret, so open A too).

  • hey charlie watts,

I love the fact that you are an historian.

    Love forever,

    Paul

  • can anybody tell me what's ron tuning..

    give me the description.

  • keith is the king of open g, but he plays standard here,

  • Am luvn it

  • Great except for Mick, who just milks it too much. Makes it sound like he's totally insincere. . .which he pretty much is.

  • ronny on slide is perfect

  • Could anyone tell me if Ronnie's guitar is tuned to standard or if it's open G?

  • i think it´s in open G,...may be.

  • Ron is using open D tuning, (the song is GCD blues) if you watch at 2:17 he is playing the G chord at the fifth fret.

  • Ive just realised that Im wrong! He is playing the G at the third fret which makes him in open E tuning.

  • The song is in G. And yes open G tuning.

  • @mynewjamsandwich I would sai it may be also open E (Ronnie uses it very often since The Faces days), but personally, when I'm playing Love in Vain (slide) I always play on open G, you can find my version here : myspace(dot)com/adrianfischer007
