How many times in the 02 04 series did the younger cheaper sens put 35+ shots on the mighty leafs, and hold them to less than 20? In the 04 series alone,it happened 3 games out of 7.Leafs won all of them.Not cuz of their goalies great play, but cuz Lalime didnt even post an 80save% in those games.He blew it for the Sens long before each series came to its game 7.The Sens have beaten Phi, NJ, teams T.O couldnt touch & have gone to the finals.Leaf fans should stop selectively remembering details.

Wrong, it happend once in all 4 series combined. Game 3 of the 04 series which toronto did win. It also happend the other way in 2000 game 3 where ottawa won after being outshot 36-15. Maybe ottawa fans should stop making up details. The bottom line is the Sens played the leafs 4 times in the playoffs and were beaten 4 times and Last time i checked goalies are part of the team so that only lost because of lalime/joseph/belfour is just a weak excuse.

The sens are a young franchise (17 years old) who always had goalie issues, yet they won a conference championship. Something the leafs havent done in over 40 years, closest was this series and the series vs L.A. So whats your point? The leafs needed to be blown up along time ago. They were Matts, Kaberle, Joseph and Belfour. Without superstar goaltending to bail out their lazy defense they never won games. Sens never needed that to make the finals.

yeah, i love how o'neil did dick for us in a leafs uniform but scored an overtime winner in game 3 and opening goal late in this game to pretty much kill our hopes.

injuries hurt toronto though...every team goes through them but it seems so excessive with the leafs always. if they were even a bit healthier, they wouldve got past new york and ottawa in less than the 7 games it took, and been physically/mentally prepeared for carolina
