Man, when I started watching the Luke/Noah storyline from ATWT, I thought I had it bad. Now, that seems like a small crush compared to my love for GTST

this reminds me of when luke and noah were starting out their relationship and of course noah's father didn't like it and noah's father brought them out into the wilderness and he shot luke because he didn't like that they were together. Noah was acting pretty much like edwin is in this scene being the guilty boyfriend when it's not his fault. i just reminds me of that cause it's pretty much the same situation.
Out of all the soaps I watch with gay story line, this one seems to be the most genuine I've seen ever. It's amazing to me how real it seems. I wish there was something I could do to show my appreciation for the cast. They all are flawless.

Awwww poor bianca!!! I can't believe that Anton would rather lose his son than except him! I sort of understand why it's harder for fathers in a way they're wired that way! They're the 'alphas' and when they have sons they see them as the people who are gonna have kids and keep the family name going so when they findout that said son is gay it sort of shatters an image they had in their minds
really hooked to this show the story is great,the actors looks good,and most of all subtitled is offered so kudos for GTSTFANMARK u really did a great job!more to come =)
and don't forget what Edwin yells at Lucas months before this episode - "you filthy faggot". I've got the feeling that this poor boy, this Edwin, spotted something really awful when he was younger, something that his father did to that boy Edwin was in love with and about whom he tells Lucas in part 196 1:46. Something that Bianca might ignore.
There seems to be something suspicious about Anton's past or about Edwin's past. The day after their first night together Edwin tells Lucas that he thought he was in love with a boy back at shool when he was younger and that this boy is "not longer alive" (part 196, 1:49). Watch then what Anton says to Lucas (part 205a 0:13) and what Bianca says to Edwin (part 205b 4:47). Perhaps Anton had already tried to interfere with his son sexual choices and this might have led to something tragic.
@skyemcleod1 well the boy Edwin was in love with was hit by a car and died. Apparently Edwin told that story to Wiet but I cant find that vid. So we'll see ... In part 212 Bianca is not very happy with Anton because of his violent behavior in the past. Have you watched it yet?

@NoAhFaNfOrLiFe18 Yes-I even had a similar thing happen when my oldest moved out a 17. In his case it was a terrible idea-the people he moved in with were using him. I suffered so much,but could do nothing. All of it seemed in vain. But we stood fast & never nagged him. Then one day he came to his senses. Now he's gr8. I believe in a mother's tears. They are very effacious for her baby ;) Edwin will be ok.
Though Bianca response to turn Anton to police is feel good but beyond any reasonable belief .No women in right mind irrespective of how gay friendly and law abiding she is will not ask her husband to go to jail if he beats her son's new crush. Especially if he is sole bread winner of family (I am not counting Bianca beauty parlor as job)if she has two children still in school and she is accustomed to have very comfortable lifestyle.
Bianca is a grown woman. She witnessed a crime committed by her husband and she is doing the right thing. In fact, I'd go one step further, I would have put Anton's behind in the car and driven him to the police station myself and if he refused to go I would have called the policed, packed a bag and waited for them. Bianca isn't a 1950s housewife. She works, she takes care of her family and she has her OWN MIND.

I cried at the end. Only because I feel bad for Bianca. I feel bad for poor Lucas as well, but Bianca is between a rock and a hard place. She loves her baby, Edwin, but Anton is her husband as well. It can't be easy for her.
Someone, whether it be Bianca, Sjoerd, or even someone like Jack or the girl Sjoerd is dating, needs to tell Anton directly - YOU are the one with the problem - you're a bigot, who's committed an act of violence.
I do still think Lucas was an ass the night of the party, and the guys were stupid to start doing in it Anton's study.
But obviously Anton is coming to the point where he has to choose between his prejudice and his family.
Yes, Anton was upset. Lots of us discover things which upset us. But we need to control ourselves, maybe even ask why we're so agitated. And there are ways of expressing it. Like asking Lucas to leave. Or saying what you feel. Even shouting! But Anton attacks another person - that's the problem: HIS problem. Meanwhile, Edwin & Lucas are together. And GTST could do something very unusual: show us 2 young men in a loving,supportive relationship. (OK? We've had Marco the psycho killer, thanks.)
I have to agree they should've used better judgement then to mix it up right under dads roof knowing how he feels about their situation. They should wait till he went to sleep LOL, I just want to know why Lucas is always getting beat up. If not him poor Noud gets it. Is there a vendetta against these two?
I know its sad the whole situation but I dont get why she is getting so upset about him leaving cause hes still gonna see her cause its just like when kids move out anyway, its worse to have everyone living in the same house under that really bad tension
@foreverlove006 What you say is true, but Edwin and Bianca are very close. Edwin is a momma's boy, whereas his brother is doted on by their father, because Anton thinks Edwin is overly sensitive for one of his sons. Bianca is also upset because in this situation its almost like he feels he has no choice. So, its not the same as Edwin moving out because he's ready to live on his own.
I truly feel sympathetic about Bianca and this whole situation! Seeing Edwin hugging his mom at the end, made me cry a little bit! but at the same time, I think it's good that Edwin has decided to make a move because being there with Anton isn't a really good idea at this moment! I hope with Edwin moving in to the Sanders, can show that their love for each other is much more important and that they have become much stronger! Lastly, I hope this can give Anton a really good opportunity to think!
This is great - I love all the comments and views everyone is talking about here. Mark is a great guy. Looks like Anton will complete his alienation of Ed by finally stating what he really believes about gay people. (he's dong a great job playing his Anton character eh?) I just cannot believe how fast this storyline moves, compared to other soap series! Unlike Colonel Mayer and Luke, Edwin's father made his move on Lucas very quickly. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes. Thanks Mark!
I loved this episode, it was sad but the boys were so sweet! I loved how Ed protects Lucas in the hospital, Lucas is the best boyfriend ever and loves Ed so much, Bianca and Janine are amazing mums, Anton is awful.
I love the actress who plays Bianca, she's doing an excellent job. And Ferry is so good at playing injured, I feel the pain when he was moving in the house.
and i'm sorry, but anton was totally right. what they did was way way out of order. he was trying really hard. i am not saying he should have hit him, but they weren't fair with him. they didn;t give him the time to get used to the idea of his son being gay and they went and had sex at his office? that's just not fair.

Anton has tried cynical lies and manipulations all throughout since he discovered Edwin was into Lucas or as Anton says "how Lucas is making his son crazy". Now having said that the boys shouldn't have messed around in the office. It deserved a few angry words at the most.

I think Lucas will deny it, and not blame Anton, which will result in Anton not being prosecuted, which i think is a much bigger punishment for him - to be pardoned by his son's boyfriend.
Or, another idea i'm getting is that they will get all the way to the court where Lucas will testify in Anton's benefit, and relieve him of any consecuences.

@hellhot87 Now that would be classy writing.....Lucas' testimony being crucial to Anton's walking out of court a free, albeit dishonorable, man or being convicted for his actions. Lucas feeling pity for his assailant and not only forgiving him but providing testimony that absolves him of his criminal actions. Boy, would Lucas come out of this looking like a saint. Can't wait to see how this unfolds, to see whether it's going to be Saint Lucas in a few weeks/months.
Well I didn't expect Anton to do the decent thing and turn himself in but that in no way mitigates what he has done, which was unforgivable and you can hardly blame Edwin for not wanting to be in the same room as him.Bianca has some unenviable choices to make.Brilliant acting from everybody involved to back up really intelligent writing.
man i have really enjoyed this show i watch the full episodes so i know other things that go on and a lot of the actors on this show deserve awards for their brilliant portrayals of their characters. i am especially enjoying all the scenes with all of edwin's family and lucas family especially when they are combined together
It does seem strange that the EMTs or hospital didn't turn Anton in. haha-since when does a crook get the choice to go to jail or not! Oh,well-he's a good bad guy for the show.
@alwaysuseless My son-in-law is a fireman who shows up to emergencies shortly before the EMT. He said in this situation-they do call the cops & report a guy was beaten up,so they can investigate. -but that's in America.

Everyone is way too chill.. they must be smoking the good stuff! In Canada the Hospital would of made a report to the police and they would have already taken Lucas's statement and then they would have hauled Anton in for questioning... And also is it me or is Janine like a robot, she just looks like a deer in the headlights and moves her arms.. the way she just stared at Anton in the Hospital, I would have yelled and thrown something at him. All in all still in love with Lucas and Edwin! Thanks

There seems to be something suspicious about Anton's past or about Edwin's past. The day after their first night together Edwin tells Lucas that he thought he was in love with a boy back at shool when he was younger and that this boy is "not longer alive" (part 196, 1:49). Watch then what Anton says to Lucas (part 205a 0:13) and what Bianca says to Edwin (part 205b 4:47). Perhaps Anton had already tried to interfere with his son sexual choices and this might have led to something tragic.

@skyemcleod1 well the boy Edwin was in love with was hit by a car and died. Apparently Edwin told that story to Wiet but I cant find that vid. So we'll see ... In part 212 Bianca is not very happy with Anton because of his violent behavior in the past. Have you watched it yet?

Ik denk dat Edwin deden het juiste ding om te verlaten zijn ouders huis en verplaatsen met lucas familie. Ik voel me slecht voor bianca though. Ze is juist in het midden en ik voel haar pijn. @NoAhFaNfOrLiFe18 Yes-I even had a similar thing happen when my oldest moved out a 17. In his case it was a terrible idea-the people he moved in with were using him. I suffered so much,but could do nothing. All of it seemed in vain. But we stood fast & never nagged him. Then one day he came to his senses. Now he's gr8. I believe in a mother's tears. They are very effacious for her baby ;) Edwin will be ok.

Though Bianca response to turn Anton to police is feel good but beyond any reasonable belief .No women in right mind irrespective of how gay friendly and law abiding she is will not ask her husband to go to jail if he beats her son's new crush. Especially if he is sole bread winner of family (I am not counting Bianca beauty parlor as job)if she has two children still in school and she is accustomed to have very comfortable lifestyle.

Bianca isn't a 1950s housewife. She works, she takes care of her family and she has her OWN MIND.

Yes, Anton was upset. Lots of us discover things which upset us. But we need to control ourselves, maybe even ask why we're so agitated. And there are ways of expressing it. Like asking Lucas to leave. Or saying what you feel. Even shouting! But Anton attacks another person - that's the problem: HIS problem. Meanwhile, Edwin & Lucas are together. Edwin is a momma's boy, whereas his brother is doted on by their father, because Anton thinks Edwin is overly sensitive for one of his sons. Bianca is also upset because in this situation its almost like he feels he has no choice. So, its not the same as Edwin moving out because he's ready to live on his own.

I truly feel sympathetic about Bianca and this whole situation! Seeing Edwin hugging his mom at the end, made me cry a little bit! but at the same time, I think it's good that Edwin has decided to make a move because being there with Anton isn't a really good idea at this moment! I hope with Edwin moving in to the Sanders, can show that their love for each other is much more important and that they have become much stronger! Lastly, I hope this can give Anton a really good opportunity to think!

I loved this episode, it was sad but the boys were so sweet! I loved how Ed protects Lucas in the hospital, Lucas is the best boyfriend ever and loves Ed so much, Bianca and Janine are amazing mums, Anton is awful.
I love the actress who plays Bianca, she's doing an excellent job. And Ferry is so good at playing injured, I feel the pain when he was moving in the house.

and i'm sorry, but anton was totally right. what they did was way way out of order. he was trying really hard. i am not saying he should have hit him, but they weren't fair with him. they didn;t give him the time to get used to the idea of his son being gay and they went and had sex at his office? that's just not fair.

Also Anton is completely lying when he said he was trying. I think Lucas will deny it, and not blame Anton, which will result in Anton not being prosecuted, which i think is a much bigger punishment for him - to be pardoned by his son's boyfriend.
Or, another idea i'm getting is that they will get all the way to the court where Lucas will testify in Anton's benefit, and relieve him of any consecuences.

@hellhot87 Now that would be classy writing.....Lucas' testimony being crucial to Anton's walking out of court a free, albeit dishonorable, man or being convicted for his actions. Lucas feeling pity for his assailant and not only forgiving him but providing testimony that absolves him of his criminal actions. Boy, would Lucas come out of this looking like a saint. Can't wait to see how this unfolds, to see whether it's going to be Saint Lucas in a few weeks/months.

Everyone is way too chill.. they must be smoking the good stuff! In Canada the Hospital would of made a report to the police and they would have already taken Lucas's statement and then they would have hauled Anton in for questioning... And also is it me or is Janine like a robot, she just looks like a deer in the headlights and moves her arms.. the way she just stared at Anton in the Hospital, I would have yelled and thrown something at him.
