When I saw Jeff in Austin, Tx in 94' (waterloo records) he was like all there was......nothing substantial existed till that moment in time and nothing has since he passed. So fuck the Mississippi/Wolf river dry up!
I'm writing an essay on Buckley at the moment, and I keep getting these vids up to write about, and quickly stop paying attention to the words on the page.
i saw him live at l'olympia paris in 1995? ( i guess) i was a student back then, it wasn't always easy to be a long way from home ( I'm indonesian) although in paris..but i felt really blessed the first time i heard his music and to have watched him live.. i just can't forget those days.. never will
I get blown away every time he opens his mouth. he really draws emotion from the base of his soul, lets it pour from his mouth and caress your ears while making your heart jump erratically all over the place.
Ok, ok I'm laughing my ass off, got all you fooled. JB is probably my favorite artist in 94 I saw him in Austin,, Tx and was awe struck that was the voice I'd been waiting to hear all my life. So all you commented about how deranged I am peace, Scarlett is still hot though.
Whoever thinks scarlet johannsen did a better version than JB of his own song.. Deserves to die in a very big hole. Infested with rats. You've gotta be joking.
@nat00ben06 ... I agree. It takes a certain kind of humility to appreciate Johansson's cover. It's obvious the rest of these simpletons don't have that kind of artistic brilliance.
@superkenalmighty finally here's someone who knows his onions, of course she's brilliant and this Jeff guy is passable. Geez brother that's what I've been trying to tell everyone.
sulkyjim it's ok to slam me, I can take it! I told you this guy's ok I mean I wouldn't buy his record, and anyone that passes away at a young age sucks what a bummer, right? ScarJo has a voice like an angel she's just so expressive and beautiful, I'm sure if she ever met me and wanted to hangout she probably would want me as a boyfriend (fingers crossed).
No I never joke....SJ"s my favorite (look at her so cute) she"s a ten, this guy is maytbe a five, period! SJ and I are the best from the north to the south, east to the west. Don't you get that?
@nat00ben06 "SJ an I are the best" etc... That sounds so much like a teen Miley Cyrus fan... However your profile states you're in your forties. So, did you lie, naughty girl, or are you actually a no-longer-young person caught in your childhood¿¿??
are you seriously suggesting that someone doing a cover version can have a closer personal attachment to a song than the person that wrote it ?!
Glad that someone as dumb as you won't be trying to pretend an interest in Jeff Buckley's real music and thus sullying the memory of one of musics saddest losses ! At least you have the honesty not to pretend to be anything other than an ignoramus !
This is stunningly emotive, I 'm reading a diary fom Ballykinlar Camp, in Northern Ireland, where I know my great Uncle was .Make that great great uncle, he was interned in 1921, by the Brites, I hoping to find an entry by him, to have Jeff doing battle in the background is one of those great coincidences, that life lives.

I'm in my late 50s, and I just "discovered" this kid. In his genre, I've never heard anything like him. I've read articles claiming that his father, Tim, was a better singer, blah, blah, than Jeff.
