  • mine does exactly the same thing with the exception of the log lifter. It cost about 6,000 dollars less.

  • The Rayco LS2526 Log Splitter is way more heavier duty and better over all, but the TW-5 was my second choice.

  • Thats about what I paid. The log lift and log grate a add on options over the base price.

  • mine cost about 7000, bought it last fall.

  • I'd like to see the push blocks and wedges taller, so you can do 2 8" rounds at once. A lot of time, there isn't tremendous power needed to split wood, so doubling up would make it WAY faster.

  • Splits fresh cut hardwood fine. If it is real big I'll split it 2 ways, then each 1/4 four ways. If it's real hard the auto split can bounce back (retract). To prevent this just hold both levers forward until the wedge engages the log.

  • How does it do on wood that isn't rotten? Just curious.

  • I have a TW5 , they are a very nice splitter

  • @thirty6fordguy how long have you had it, and what did it cost? thanks.

  • Nice splitter, cool hydraulics!
