This is great for a beginning player, but i felt like there is no emotion in this performance. Moreover, work on your phrasing, at least 4 measures is the standard, but you can fluctuate a bit depends on your own ear. I'm not sure whether it's you breathing or it is written into the music like that, but definitely try to make the gap between each note shorter... good effort though. :)
so you started playing 8 months ago? Is it difficult? becasuse Im considering starting with the tenor sax. Im a guitar player but since the first day I listened to Coltrane I ve been hipnotized by sax =)_
Good. How long have you been playing? It's been at least a year since you put this video on YouTube. You should be better by now if you've been practicing daily. You need to work on your embishure. A soft reed is good for starting out, then work up to a stiffer one as the muscles in your face strengthen through practice. Then work on your vibrato. How about uploading another song so we can see how you've been progressing?
@Ward00 Thanks for the intellectual critique (not typical of an internet comment ;P). I'll consider posting a new video, but I'm at University now and it's embarrassing when I play in my residence and everyone can here xP Also I played everyday for 8 months after this video was posted, but in the summer I slacked and I'm not in University for music, so I've probably gotten worse. BUT, I'll still consider it. Because I still love playing. (:
@Lilycus I started playing clarinet in 5th grade, continuing to the 10th, where I changed to alto, then tenor sax, where I played in my Senior HIgh School's Dance Band. I continued on to major in music in college, majoring in clarinet and minoring in sax. At the end of my first year I decided music was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Anyway, music was, and still is, a large part of my life, and will never regret it.

@Lilycus Just find somewhere private to have a blow and enjoy yourself without feeling inhibited.
Good luck.
