he is fun to watch, he is often criticized for the same reason, i always remember the run in italy in 2005 when he went almost all the way down skiing with only one ski, it is very entertaining, but the truth is by going for all that time like that, it put him in danger of crashing and injuring himself for no reason, just for the sake of entertaining himself and the crowd. i'm still a fan, when he failed too.

@joyfulvulture He moved his arms because he put too much weight on his inside (uphill) ski which caused it to load with pressure and release. Usually the energy built up by pressuring the ski is released down the hill but because it was his inside ski it shot up his body, throwing him off balance. His arms moving is a natural reaction so he wouldn't tip over.

i creamed my pants 5 times watching this recovery......amazing. It's right up there with Bill Johnson's recovery when he caught an edge, went out of the course, and still won the downhill in Wengen back in 84'. Check it out and decide which recovery was more amazing. Both were insane recovery's, which required some insane leg & core strenght, balance, and some divine intervention. Bode is by far the best American skier, EVER. Compare his results in all events with any other skier. Beauty.....
