my favorite part of the movie is.... the black kid gets some beer and then when he finds out the plane crashes he just saves the beer for a shrine. Then a couple of months later one of his new roommates just walks in and pops opens a beer from the shrine and he just looks at him for a second then..... joins him and pops open a beer himself.... awesome.

My aunt was in Marshall for college at that time, she was going to go on plane with Marshall too. This was before I born, long before I born. But luckily, she changed her mind and I was able to have a aunt when I born.

Dr Donald Dedmon was the acting Marshall president. He spoke for all of us and handled a very tense meeting at South Hall where some guys lost a dozen fraternity brothers. We all just wanted to go home until after Thanskgiving vacation. Dr. Dedmon made that possible.

I can't imagine a tragedy like this. But the High School I graduated from in 2004 2 months after I graduated I lost my best friend who I graduated with and knew her since second grade. Then a couple of years later another person I went to school with was also killed in a car crash. But he was in a different grade. Then another bad tragedy happened. But the first in 04 was the first thing that ever happened to my high school which started in the late 60's I believe.

What a tradgedy.

I don't even GO to Marshall, all I did was see the movie, and that did enough to touch my heart. I can't imagine the suffering I would go through if one of those victims on the plane crash was my son, or my husband, my brother or sister. I am truly awestuck by this occurance. It happened back in '70, but I'm glad to see that Marshall still remembers the unlucky 75 passengers aboard the plane.

My father I and saw the film "We Are Marshall" in theaters out of curiosity alone. We knew nothing about the Marshall plane crash until we saw the film. My parents were in Tennessee at the time of the Marshall plane crash. My second older brother and I were not born at the time, and my oldest brother was then a newborn.
