As long as you keep insisting the spirits go towards the light and keep mentioning the light you will be fine. Once you master your emotions these things wont bother you as much. Ghosts like to play mind games and see emotional responses because they themselves are trapped just like we are confined to our physical bodies here on earth.

Good content to have out there for people breaking into this. I've had luck with blessed items - crosses, crucifixes, holy medallions, things of this nature. I don't believe these work with human spirits but they seem to keep the "evil" ones away. I also had the attacks in my sleep, I put the holy items under the mattress and said a prayer of protection before sleeping and no more issues.

The sage and salt are the most widespread and reliable methods, and the simple commands seem to work as well, but Garlic as protection is considered a myth by most investigators. Never looked into the fart question and don't want to, frankly! I think the best protection is prevention: ask your spirit guides for protection before you go to investigate an area and there should be no reason why you can't go more than once.

Burning actual sage out door would be much better than indoor. It gives out very powerful scent and you don't want that in your home. It smells like marijuana almost. Sage candle is more practical indoor. I got that advice from an elder (Native American in Florida). Hope that helps :-)
Well, I went out and had my first EVP session last night and I have to admit, I didn't follow your protection tips. Being a neutral, skeptic type of person, I didn't expect much.
I have to say, so far I've only listened 13 minutes in, and I am no longer comfortable listening to the rest. Unexplainable physical things also happened yesterday. I definitely was NOT alone last night and this is hard for me to say, as a skeptic.
That is a good clip on protection. I had experience with a dark thing through EVP research. When you mentioned the flashing lights, ect., yep that's it!
The best advice you gave "do not help". I'm a medium and tried to help and thats when all heck broke loose and I found out what evil is.
I no longer record, but do listen occassionally.

Thought I'd mention, you are right about the death threats. One even said it raped my dead mother. Just plain nasty.

Hi 12345vjd, that's pretty terrible, if those things that said that were still alive they could have criminal charges filed against them, just threatening someone is illegal, whether carried out or not.
You're right as well about not helping spirits, a lot of them can't be trusted, unfortunately.

Very informative, I knew just about all of them except for the silver and fart thing, funny. I always say a short prayer before and after any investigation, just in case! You say Nag Champa with an "o" sound like this, 'Nog Chompa', in case you were wondering. I burn it all the time.
