I've been a fan of Metallica since '84 and after seeing this I realize it is finally time for them to throw the towel in. If you don't agree you are just trying not to believe the reality of it all that Metallica is DONE! This is an abomination and I haven't taked to 1 person yet that thought this was a good idea. Disagree all you want but this is a horrible absolute carrer ending FAIL! Give it up Metallica before you continue to tarnish the once might band that USED to rule metal.

If you like this, check out the version on an album that Lou did around 1973 called "Rock and Roll Animal"... He had a backup band with several members of a band (former band?) called Ursa Major. The Intro to Sweet Jane is one of the best bits of sizzling Rock and Roll I've ever heard. And Lou was much younger then. He was in his glam/Bowie stage.

Metallica has fallen very far from grace. Not quite at the level of Rod Stewart's demise, but they still have time. This is like Celine Dion singing You Shook Me All Night Long. Utter trash.
i think lou was just a little nervous to play with metallica and couldnt understand that they were peying tribute to him. maybe he felt he was unworthy to play with them.... he just didnt seem very confident but i thought the collaboration between the two was epic i hope they record this song on a album or they release a album for this concert. any one know where i could find a crisp audio or video of this from the hbo broadcast? i already tried bittorents and could not find any
Metallica gave a weird intro to LOU and the whole thing didn't work. I saw Lou perform at the Wiltern a couple of years ago and he was amazingly fit and his sound and backup band top notch. Lou is a legend and Metallica seemed to sabotage the segment.
The Lulu is sound like a piece of shit :'(
