I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.
A person who embraces ASL as their primary language will be considered a member of the Deaf community. I find many deaf friends on a Deaf dating site ----Deafornot dot c om---- Good luck to them!!!

It was reported on a Deaf dating site named Deafornot dot c om that 500,000 Deaf individuals in the United States claim American Sign Language (ASL) as their primary language.
well i'm hard of hearing and i get what's being said...lol..it's pretty funny..just because we don't hear the speak who is talking/telling what's keith is saying, we do understand by his actions etc...and this is the funniest thing i ever saw...lol
omg this is so funny its american sign right im learning this in school well the bit that is really sign hehehe but i only knoe british sign bu i love it x
Nope, that's called interpreter lag. The person doing the voicing is seeing the signs at the same time everybody else is, and THEN they say what it means. The song is a little bit off, parts of it are on time, but I wouldn't say there's a time delay or anything.
I have seen Kenith Wann before somewhere in Pomona, Califorina. But he crack me up and I am about to fall off my chair. I did not know he is hearing but full ASL and His parent are deaf, wow COOL! I like the way he act. He should have been in HBO show his act in Laugh Factory . .
candyloz, within sign language of any culture is an element of guesture and visual vernacular. It is not simply a matter of only using proscribed signs. Those most fluent in sign can wield the air like a master craftsman (Auslan interpreter from Australia)
great, Im fluent Auslan, and perform in sign..this is terrific comedic use of gesture, and language. Funny as, will be posting this to all signing friends!
well, i go to coral glades high in coral springs, FL and i have the number 1 asl teacher in florida. she is wanted everywhere and they send her so much things to get her, but she is not willing to leave. We are the first to have the sound and fury part 2 dvd disc copy. =)
Bloody funny! Good on him for doing it! I hate it when teachers try to "teach sign language" to their classes! It's never right! At least this time it was a deaf person playing with hearing people! Not hearing people pretending they know sign language and teaching it all wrong! Love it!
So funny. I've met quite a few people who learned a song in sign language when they were really young. I don't know enough ASL to know if they're the right signs or not, but sometimes I wonder if they were. :-P

Ummm What do you think the "interpreter" is "interpreting"?
ToriL90 2 years ago
i guess i said what i meant wrong. the "interpreter" is'nt the comedian you see. its backwards, the person you hear is the interpreter.
