  • An engine like that plus a light weight car... that's going to fly.

  • How can you say its the worlds first I'm sure you didn't personally check every sunfire in the world to see what's under the hood.

  • plz post a vid of a fly by/engine sound/or at least a drag run.looks preety good but i wanna hear this beast and see how good she goes

  • Post more vids.. PLS!!

  • nice and sick job on the sunfire. the car looks awesome and if you want 2 make it go really fast then by you put that northstar v8 in the car she will scream for more power. add a vortech HIGH-OUTPUT twin-screaw supercharger, nitrous oxide, nitrous bogger system, and bigger supercharger pullies and she WILL defenetly be a real screamer. props on the good job 2 the car.

  • Vortech doesn't make twin screw superchargers, only centrifugal superchargers, and if you put a bigger pulley, you are lowering the boost. Smaller pulley makes it spin faster for more boost. LOL.

  • thanks bud, and im gonna make a v8 jbody in the future. keep in mind that a "smaller" pulley will make more boost not a bigger one. but thanks again man

  • northstar perhaps?

  • @pussyforlife Just for the record, a northstar V8 would require major modification body wise to fit in a cavalier, it wouldn't fit between the strut towers. One swap on the cavalier i've always wanted to try and would still one day like to do is a 350 rwd... it's do able but a lot of work and fabrication....

  • As soon as i get a job after this dam recession im going to put a northstar v8 in my sunfire gt even though theres going to be a lot of customizing and fabricating I think it possible what do think?

  • the only problam that I think Im going to have is the wire harness and shifter linkage but I need to know is there enough space to fit a northstar v8 and perhaps 4t80 transaxle?

  • hey man, there is room (with alot of cutting and you have to box the unibody) a wire harness and shift linkage are the least of your worries, i know a guy who did it. are you wnating rear or front drive? there are a few trans opitons you can pick from. But it is possiable, and will cost alot!! good luck bud.

  • I'm not sure what drive train I what to go with yet but it's probably going to be rwd I think it will have better cornering and besides the rear suspension isn't independent anyways so it's the same than a rwd axle. Fwd drive train it would be a bicth tring to find the right cv joints and bearing hubs so most likely im going rwd, by the way the car is 2000 sunfire gt convertible.
