I can recommend to buy a wireless mouse (logitech is a good brand i got one is not mac but is very good) it can reduce the contact. ummmm did you used clorox or something very abrasive? ? If yes that could be the problem.

You can also take apart the macbook and put the plastic parts in a dishwasher (be sure to remove the motherboard, drives and battery first). It comes out looking really white.

@Barry3443 No.. Doing so WILL defect your warranty because removing the motherboard, the drives, and the battery still MEANS you opened it and it doesn't matter if you didn't change anything. Besides, using a dishwater (which uses A LOT of water) just to clean a case is a waste.
