The reason why germany had actually lost the war, was becuz hitler decided invade russia thus streching germany's resources and man power on another front. If he had focused all his attention on the western front and defeated the allies he might have had a chance to beat the eastern front later in his campiagn
Yes, no. 1, but a close second was declaring war on the U.S. when he did not have to...others were his decision to let the British escape at Dunkirk and not taking over Gibraltar and Malta, not supporting Rommel enough to take over the Suez canal and mideast oil from Iraq and Iran. The Jewish "solution" was a distraction and he missed out on the contribution they could have given his "cause"...thank God he was the world's stupidest monster in history.
You know what Germany's biggest mistake was? It was joining the alliances before WW1. That tipped the scales that made it a fair fight for both sides. If Germany had remained neutral WW1 would never have happened. Thus WW2 would have been prevented aswell. In fact Alliances caused the first war period!
The Greatest mistake was Hitler, a man of politics who only knew as much about tactics as any footsoldier (he had been one), ignored his generals when they knew what the best caurce of action was.
Agree...if Germany would have invaded Russia in early spring...more than likely teh outcome would be different....then remember Germany wasn't just focused on Russia.....Something I must ask.....what if the U.S. would have been in Russias shoes.....and on our soil, could they have defeated Germany......
Hitler said the war with the Soviet Union would be a war of annihilation. Had Germany and Japan created a two front war for the Soviet Union and the Germans had gone straight for Moscow earlier in the spring things would have been different. It would have been better if Germany had the Panther in great numbers and a Ural bomber. But the two front war would have done to the Russians what a two front war did to Germany.
Invading Russia was not the mistake. The mistake was diverting from Moscow. If Hitler didn't decide to take Odessa and Caucasus before Moscow, then Moscow would of definitely fallen. Also, if Germany coordinated with Japan, then Russia would not have gotten the non-aggression pact with Japan and not have been able to supply those fresh troops from Eastern front to Moscow's defense.
this, alas, was the very act that cost the Germans the war. They almost won the battle of Britain until they started a war on a second front. otherwise, the German's conquest to destroy the RAF would have been successful. I feel humiliated to talk about Hitler LOSING the war, but that was his generals that made the mistake, not him. The generals at that point were becoming very back-stabby.

german was defeated from the start of the war. The Master race could not win a war against the entire world at the end they would lose.

Germans lost so many men in Stalingrad.
They did the same mistake as Napoleon.
No winter gear, no effective supplylines, planes could not reach them because of the snowstorms.
Soviets had a powerful industry and when they got it running at max... Goodbye Germany.
Hitler underestimated the redarmy in every turn.
After invading all of Europe, Germany should have built defenses, railroads, industry, more men, more warmachines.
The wehrmacht generals said that Germany was not ready to attack USSR.
