I find the stressed syllable hard to follow.
Does it have a purpose? if i don't follow the stressed syllable, is it ok? will u still understand?

of course anyone could understand, but it sounds strange.
well if you mean in written greek, it doesn't look strange, but if you don't use it, it can sometimes be confusing...

you have to stress the syllables las she does or else it wont
so,,, for good christmas= kaLA xrisTOUgenna stressing 'la' and 'tou'

it would be exactly the same as if you stress a wrong syllable in english. for example televisiON (it would sound like french) or telEvision

father= 1. πατέρας (paTEras), 2. μπαμπάς (baBAS)
brother=αδελφός (adeLFOS)
