@ESB1138 It could be debated that Thriller and Back in Black are the greatest albums (since they are the biggest selling) but i would say Queen's best stuff was in A Kind Of Magic and Innuendo
solo...freakin amazing. that is why Brian May is a guitar god, whether ppl like to admit it or not. just cuz he can't do lightning sweep picking and tremolo picking chromatic scales...that sounds like crap a lot of times...this is sheer talent, mastery. no one does it like Brian.
Me too. Thats one of the things Queen's music missed in the 80s. I dont think the songs were bad in the 80s but Brian's tone became much less prominent.
Great performancr, as usual with our Majesty!! But what is it with the director of this clip? Looks like he ignored Freddie at all!! Why staying focused on Brian all the time? Even when he isn't doing a solo!!!
I think what I love most about Queen (other than Freddy) is the fact that every single band member wrote songs and each of the individually wrote the bands biggest hits...like Brian May writing We Will Rock You, or John Deacon writing Another One Bites the Dust, and Roger Taylor writing A Kind of Magic, and of course Freddie writing the masterpieces Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody to Love....wow...what an incredible pool of talent...
the thing i love about queen as well as the things you mentioned, is that, all 4 of the members sang, for example, bohemian phapsody has accapella vocals which people seem to forget, and this takes a lot of skill to acheive, they are all so very very talented musicians =D gotta love queen
wow....30 yrs since last saw this; was at the gig..first ever rock concert...what one to start with.... young long haired 15 yr old god were did 30 yrs go..thanx queen live 1974 for this...great memories of the gig..ha bottle of pomagne..before the gig as well had to get my bro..head ache tabs from the st johns ambulancemen.. queen 1 queen11 up there with the best rock albums ever...enjoy every one
Wow! the sound on this is so ... accoustic! Excellent experience. And yes, that solo is quite different from the other live versions we see around here. More rock'n roll instead of melodic, maybe?

John Deacon didn't sing. His mike was always turned off.
However, once in a while, if the other members wanted to play a joke on John, they would turn his mike on.
As for Bohemian Rhapsody - that was strictly Freddy, Brian & Roger - and extensive layering of track upon track.
