@ruudselhorst It's like that when you've been hurt quickly and badly. You don't know it's happened. Sudden injuries, especially to the head often don't register for some time. There was a woman stabbed in the back of the neck a couple of years ago who didn't realise it'd happened until a cashier in the shop she was walking to noticed the handle (the knife was still in). I've broken an arm and a foot without knowing it. I've also almost lost a toe but saw the blood.
