  • I think gothic really is an appropriate term. It's just that over the last several years the meaning of the word changed slightly for a lot of people. Now it's associated with, I guess, "goth" teens and such, which I don't believe quite represents the tone of the word as it was understood before that recent cultural development.

  • LOL I love how they say he is so gothic, but is Del Toro really considered gothic? Tim Burton is more along the lines of goth.

  • I think they are using the word "gothic" to mean what it is. Not "goth culture" which i think you are trying to refer to.

I don't think you're wrong in that Del Toro should be referred to as something other than gothic but I can't think of another word either.

I'm only replying because I was insulted by your "LOL" being followed by a trivial comment. Not that an "LOL" would ever be followed by something of value.

    Thanks all the same.

  • How does 'LOL' affect anything? Anyway I love Del Toro's work. Thanks for your input and ideas. Sorry if I offended you.

  • Assholes! You need good information before makes absurd critics about mexican movies. Certainly we had a black age but what country has not passed this. Review the las 10 years of mexican movies production and you will find excelent moviemakers, excelent writers and directors.
